Place one of the same item, far off in a corner of the map so it’s there when the mission starts. You might still get a slight hitch on spawn, but it should be considerably less noticeable than when spawning in something that’s not in the mission at all.

While we're at it, how about a way to request a specific altitude and airspeed from the tanker (given that both the Hog and the Viper need to use the same asset but at very different parameters)?

I think the OP is very much on to something here!

Before the latest version of the Caucuses map, the enemy infantry used to advance on the downed pilot across an open meadow. That area is now covered in trees. IMO, that canned mission needs an overhaul.

You can’t make steerpoints from scratch yet. Feature is still WIP. But you can make a stack of steerpoints anchored on your home base and then edit those existing steerpoints as needed. You could, for example, ADD 20 steerpoints stacked up on or very near the Nellis TACAN for the NTTR map.

Noticed this as well tonight with an AI Viper as a wingman. No illumination in front of the jet on the taxiway at Kobuleti, but it did illuminate the runway once it took the active.

Mine worked perfectly out of the box in the A-10C, Hornet and Viper. Great investment (IMO)
