  1. I guess it depends if ED can replicate it or not, the classified information regarding that pod (if any).. If they are even allowed to replicate it per agreement with Lockhead.... etc... Just because it was available at that time and we want it, doesn't mean we get it.. I am going to go out on a limb and say that if all the information was available to ED and they are allowed to replicate it and stick it on the jet, they would do it.. It would be another check mark in the box of systems available to the end user (us) and would cause the viper to be more attractive for future sales... This entire "must" have attitude is not going to work, especially when we (the end users) do not understand or know the agreements that are going on behind closed doors...
  2. Pushing a button is not that hard... if it is, you are in the wrong sim... after I have done it 10-20 times I have found out that I do not even think about it.. Want to streamline things? give me a DTC... I give 2 craps about a subjective FOV that will change with EVERY player.. Do they adjust the seat up or down based on helmet clearance to the canopy trying to get the best view outside or do they set that for clear RWR viewing ?? you do understand that based on body mechanics not one FOV is going to be the same as another right? Why is this? The F-16 seat can only adjust up and down, that's it, until they make it adjusting foreword and backwards nothing will change that. Physical body makeup will change that as well... a 155 pound pilot is going to sit further back that a 220 pound who will be pushed foreword... What do you think I asked them... LOL... They all said ED got the modeling and physics of the cockpit pretty damn spot on... performance and systems... MEH... its still a WIP though... Once again the my SME verse your SME.. please though... lets wait for another SME and we can get a SME to counter that SME based on SME swag..
  3. From my understanding the RWR tones are still a WIP...
  4. everyone of us have different body mechanics, and FOV based on height and body thickness (pushing us closer or moving us back) adjust your POV and seat height and move on... I do this every time and I have not issues seeing the RWR or the HUD... I have talked with several SME and actual active pilots who have said the modeling of the pit is spot on... So take the my SME verse your SME argument with a grain of salt, sitting in the jet is going to be subjective... Be it a crew chief or a WP holder... ED has chimed in on this and have said they are not changing anything, please carry on though..
  5. Talk about trying to focus energy in a place that it is not needed... Wow... Its simple... re-center view position when you get in the pit... and/or adjust seat up and down.. Kinda hard to get onboard with an argument/debate when the proof they provide is multiple pictures using multiple FOV lenses, this approach is 100% subjective and ridiculous. This has got to be the most subjective argument out there. I have sat in the viper... While I do not completely remember every detail of the pit, I do clearly remember there is a lot of stuff crammed into a incredibly small place. Moving your head around to look at things is not unusual or unacceptable to do so. ED.. Please ignore this and focus on things that are actual bugs and KNOWN issues... Thanks!
  6. I am not sure why the MFD brightness constantly changes in this jet but here we are.
  7. One SME is a crew chief.. The other SME is a weapons troop who DID work on the CM (and the CJ and the 30... etc..) who has looked into that station and will tell you that the communication wiring that is needed to make it happen is not there...
  8. I Stand corrected... Why I thought that.. who knows...
  9. Glad That ED fixed this issue.
  10. Sorry... I can not get to the circle thing... I am hung up on all of the steer points instead..
  11. You mean when we hear things like as soon as the hornet is done the Viper will be priority, only to sit back and watch the dev of the Hind and the Apache... Meanwhile we are like... ... Uhhhhhh
  12. I thought the JHMCS system was the same across the board... Could be wrong though... probably am..
  13. So lots to break down here... Working a single viper trying to take on multiple tasks/targets on one VUL is not what the jet was designed for. Fuel consumption is what you need to learn to master... If you are in Mil power everywhere and bellow 20k you are going to burn through it, especially with the load out you described based on drag alone. We fly the viper all the time with realistic load outs and have done hops that last well over an hour with fuel remaining. The difference is throttle management and realistic expectations of the jet. We run 2 GBU 12's total... 2 MAVS total... or 2 Harms (or a combination) and we have fuel for days, difference is we take extra jets... We Hardly touch gates unless we absolutely have too... slow climb up to altitudes making turns if needed to stay in neutral areas until we get between 24-30k... ETC>..
  14. Not this again... This request has been asked for many times and has been denied many times...
  15. Who knows if they are going to release it or not... What gets me is simple... We could start naming the other sim in here by name and they would swoop down in an instant and close and lock the thread, meaning they are reading these forum posts... A simple clarification from any of them would be nice..
  16. I don't think it is as simple as clicking a checkbox that will make them available.
  17. I understand some frustration to a point. ED has clearly defined that they are creating a circa 2007 ANG bird.. meaning an aircraft in that time period that... and here is the KEY word "operated" at that time... There is not a shred of evidence (because it didn't happen) of a ANG unit using and "operating" with Harpoon anti ship missiles. No different that the CFT that several have requested and even argued over as an example. ED is not modeling them because no 2007 ANG unit EVER had them...
  18. I get it... think about the link 16... while the DED page does not say that section is under development, many of those features and abilities are not working..
  19. WIP... many DED functions are not functioning..
  20. Time and patience...
  21. Here is the roadmap and list...
  22. Are you using a FSSB base by chance? If you are... Check the HID software and make sure you do not have a box marked "precision mode" checked. I had the same issue and this corrected it.
  23. While this is true... There is no HOTAS commands for what the OP listed.... Master Arm... Steer Points... Radar Range can be increased in RWS with the cursor...
  24. Two completely different jets, two completely different manufacturers... Key bindings are your best bet..
  25. Smoked

    New sound

Oh yeah.... Really like it... That said, its always subjective and based on equipment... For me, its awesome and a nice step foreword..
