High Altitude interception... just as it was designed for. The Dora should be climbing up to 6000 to 8000m altitude, flying in straight lines and taking on bomber formations in head-on attacks - exactly what it was intended for. If there are no aircraft at 6000m to 8000m, then maybe try another server where there are? Dogfighting 1v1 at low altitudes in the Dora is a death sentence.

This is a really nice initiative Nineline: MOOSE/ Steggles EWRS scripting. We use this combination to provide on-screen text-based RADAR reports that we customize to be more like a WW2 RADAR system. This also means that we are not reliant on modern voice audio or AWACS systems which come with DCS, but are not historically appropriate for WW2 missions. SL-MOD: This is used for complex statistical data gathering which populates the server statistics website. It's not 100% reliable but it does a decent job. SoW has pages and pages of statistical information gathered via SL-MOD. https://stormofwar.info/ Two other notes about things that are missing/ broken from mission editor: 1. Trains not being visible to clients in multiplayer 2. barrage balloons not being visible in multiplayer

SoW also has "big" missions. Load times do get long. One thing we have very recently done is enable the "player" data download and the "object data" download. These enable players to have full-detail trk files and telemetry data for Tac-view. We have noticed a marked increase in lag and stutter on the server since turning these options on. So just a note - multiplayer does seem to suffer significantly for servers that enable this data download functionality.

Delay bomb fuses are not added yet. Seriously Talisman... that's stopping you? We've all been bombing for months without delay fuses. I've changed the server setup at your request (enabling the player data download), and now you won't even fly due to delay fuses not yet being implemented. . . . I am fast learning that I should not go to the effort of adapting things for players, especially when they wont even fly on the server once those changes are made. -

Yeah, but in real life you weren't trying to squeeze your whole field of view onto a little monitor in front of your face - which is what we do with most gaming. There are very few screens/ monitors that allow high resolution game-play with anywhere near a comfortable 1:1 Field of View.

I regularly see LSTs and Samuel Chase ships being sunk on Storm of are server. 2x Spitfires can sink an LST if they both get direct hits. -

Hi Talisman, The "allow player export" had been disabled purely in order to see if it was contributing to instability/ lag etc. I will turn it back on now, you're not the first to request it. Would be great to see the firebirds in the skies again :) -
I think the German aircraft carry delayed fused bombs... well, at least for me they do..

At any time before a mission time of 0500 (at least on the normandy map), two enemy aircraft will pass within a few hundred feet of each other and not engage. However, setting the mission time to anything after 0500, and suddenly the AI can see other aircraft and will turn to engage. This is maybe Ok during winter, but results in total nonsense in Summer. The two images below show the exact same mission on the Normandy map with the date set to June 15 (1944). In the top image, the time is just after 0500. The FW190 A8 will nose up and engage the bombers. In the bottom image, the time is just prior to 0500. The FW190 will fly right on by the B-17s without reacting. I have spent 4 hours painstakingly changing tens, maybe hundreds of variables in the mission editor in order to find that this was the cause of many AI not engaging each other on the storm of war server, an issue I have been trying to resolve for nearly 6 months. To make even more of a mockery of this arbitrary red-line, you can see from the set of images that the actually visibility in either image is great, there's absolutely no reason why the AI would not see the bombers before 0500. Setting this hard-limit on the AI behavior is massively detrimental to game-play and it forces mission designers to use incorrect mission date/ time settings to utilize the beautiful low-light conditions of DCS, or to b stuck with the flat high-sun conditions after 0550 (for most of summer). Why not just use 60, or 30 minutes before sunrise and after sunset as the limit? This would mean that the time when the AI goes "blind" moves throughout the year but follows the low lighting conditions?

Storm of War is seriously considering moving to stable. I'm testing the waters with other WW2 server operators. If a few of the more popular/ busy servers agree, we'll all shift over to Stable together. The idea would be to move the bulk of the WW2 multiplayer community over in one go. If some of the modern / cold war period servers were also making the move, then a significant proportion of the multiplayer community would be held together. More discussions with the server admins and the player base is required though.

P47 Dive Bomb Training mission - minor bug

Mission instructions/ voice narration from Bunyap says that "all three" stations are loaded with bombs, however, it seems only the belly bomb is loaded. See image below: -

Did all three AI spits just line up in direct line astern behind the JU88s? If so, that's not a gunner problem, that's an AI flying-into-bullets problem.
