What version number and is it open beta or release, and is stand alone or steam version of DCS are you running.

I firmly disagree, otherwise there would be pages upon pages of bug reports. Some of the reports so far are due to user error of not reading the documentation. Other bugs are issues unrelated to campaign, and rest solely on ED incompetent AI logic. If anything Baltic Dragon has the best record of great campaigns with little issues. He takes a different approach to help avoid the very dumb AI.

Are you on open beta stand alone?

Have not made it to 8 yet, however are you aware of the goggle gain option in your keystroke list? If not, map your controls so you can play with the gain, it should help out a lot. If you already tried gain, then my apologies, I don't have any other tips besides maybe dumping your shaders.

You haven't noticed how the jet doesn't navigate to the correct location? The bearing and range isn't correct when in NAV when you enter a manual steerpoint. More information here

On which radio / frequency should I send Smoke off, as he tries to fly close fingertip all the way down to the boat. If it was a CASE 1 I know I can "KISS" him off, but that isn't an option for CASE 3. I tried sending radio commands for him to RTB on both PRI and AUX, and various buttons, but he ignored every one of them. Is this an DCS AI thing, or something else? Not mission critical, as I can land and the mission does progress. Just noticed it from a practicing a few CASE 3 before progressing the campaign. BD, BZ a great campaign!!

FWIW although from a crowd perspective a knife may look flat, the knife edge isn't flat from the cockpit, you will need 5-7° of pitch at the start of the maneuver. So you're arcing the pass from one side to the other. However, there is a lack of rudder authority in the ED Viper.

That really sounds like the Chatter addon, you can turn that off via HOTAS commands, or disable it from the options (exact tab name escapes me at the moment).
