  1. I don't even use the launcher. Just dcs.exe to run DCS and dcs_updater.exe to run the update separately.
  2. I call BS. Somehow 3 independent mirrors in F-15E don't kill my PC in VR. Mirrors are optional btw.
  3. Bolter/WO procedures are not implemented. Treat it as a new inbound approach.

You're confusing aircraft simulator with following procedures simulation and expecting too much from the game. Yes, DCS is study type combat flight simulator, a sub genre of video game. It's a kind of sandbox. You are given aircraft, physics and the world. You decide what happens there. It's made for entertainment. Some things won't be modeled due to different reasons like current PC performance, time and money to create it, scope of the project or even military secrecy.
  5. That's barely over 1h dl - what exactly is the problem? Updates are optional unless you want MP.
  6. You'd have to define "fully developed". DCS is in constant development, never meant to reach any specific final stage. Also modules get reworks after some time, added features, maintenance and bug fixes.
  7. Let's make some things clear. Headset has a fixed LCD resolution. DCS PD or Oculus software scaling or Steam VR scaling and even DLSS all does the same - render the image in different resolution - this is what most severly impacts performance and is done purely by GPU. Changing resolutions have no impact on CPU. The rendered image is then rescaled to the native headset resolution to display it but it's an easy job, with no perceived performance cost.
  8. Thanks, finally. Does it also mean more realistic drag and performance fix? Since we have options for off/auto/manual you will have your choice no matter what the fix means. You have the same choice as anyone else.
  9. It was in 2015 - have you pre-purchase it then? Here are details of this offer: DCS: NEVADA Test and Training Range Map is now available for pre-purchase!
  10. Ok, just make sure it all works now as the mist and ctld are commonly used for JTAC or unit spawns.
  11. Bad LOD and/or heat blur effect.
  12. Which exact mission? It's probably older mission with older mist file, no longer supported in current DCS version. You can take new mist.lua from here: https://github.com/mrSkortch/MissionScriptingTools and replace the one in mission file.
  13. New info from HB Discord:
  14. Make sure you have electric power, your HUD is on and mode is set to Take Off. Check also HUD brightness knob. Check fuel quantity and loadout. Sounds like heavy jet. Did you get "your flight is delayed" message at the start by any chance? DLC is precisely designed to not change the pitch at all. Only the descent rate. DCS repair, clean and removing mods is always a good thing especially when it crashes for you.
  15. We can't or at least we don't know yet about it. HB is planning to release early F-14A in one of the next updates and I'm guessing they messed with it somehow.
  16. This is long known bug for some VR users. Only workaround is to restart the mission (start a mission, restart, you're good to go).
  17. It's when you're speeding at 260 on the tarmac and you realised you're in the G and it was in knots
  18. PD is also scaling but on the DCS side and it has the same impact - you may just not notice the performance changes.
  19. It will move any additional or modded files to the backup folder.
  20. We can just tell you how it works atm. Here're some instructions: Basically you add another chuck of code in curly brackets, including the mission name (whatever you want it to show) and the exact mission file name. Of course you have to own the aircraft, map and mods used in the mission. Otherwise it's a wish - you can make one here: https://forum.dcs.world/forum/207-dcs-core-wish-list/ Ah, yes, right.
  21. Fair enough and good it's not something with the base precision/feel
  22. Could work as a modern study for NATO vs Russia/Belarus including Suwałki Gap. Or another WW2 map great for either '39 or '45.
  23. Built in missions come with the modules and are in the installation folder \mods\aircraft\[aircraft_name]\missions\ (or \tech\ for CA and SC) Paid DLC campaigns are in the installation folder \mods\campaigns\[campaign_anme]\ Your own missions (or ones you download from DCS user files) are meant to be saved to \saved games\dcs\missions\ because that's where "My missions" shorcut will search for them but frankly you can put them anywhere you want - you just have to find them when opening the mission from the ME. If you want to have user created missions added nicely to your aircraft missions same way as those built-in you'll have to mess with respective .lua files in the subfolders - otherwise they will not be visible there, even when the .miz file is already right there.
