It is about trigger delay not rate of fire, just like we have in mosquito right now, cannons are probably pneumatic so the response time is low, but rate of fire is very dependent on cannons it self. To sync cannons you would need electric trigger which would lower rate of fire so the slower cannons could keep up with faster ones, for example 600 rof cannons would fire at 500 rof so even the slowest one would made full cycle before electric trigger would fire all again. Or you would need bunch of sensors which would detect when each cannon is ready to fire again, very complex system too many things can fail. Any way most of the shooting was rather short burst, so all cannons should open up at the same time, if you hold trigger some desynchronization will appear but after couple rounds we can say that all cannons should fire at the same time, so no argent need to develop synchronization system which would complicate things. I must say that cannon fire delay make me go crazy, because of this i have very hard time to hit something with cannons in mosquito, maybe some day we will get electro-pneumatic firing system w/o delay.

Cannons or Mgs which are firing through prop are synced very well, those which don't not so much.

It is so so hard to resist not to

Only thing i can think off is, to get mosquito bomber version with bomb sight w/o cannons ladout.

Good idea for new players comming to DCS, before you start a game we invite you to little trip through DCS instalation sub folders Minimum requirements : notepad++ -
My bet is, it won't happen any time soon, asset pack is in continuous development new stuff is added. There are nice discounts from time to time, i advice to use those.

It does not matter if you are good or not.

@-0303- I'm on same boat, this makes no sense for me, i would believe in stress protection which would cut out starter when used for long time, but this ? What would be the purpose ?

training mission "engine start procedure" not continuing.

The switch under throttle is only for lights, starter is always connected in spitfire. Battery kill switch if exists, probably accessed only from outside. -
Does it mean that Spitfire holds 80C coolant at low power settings and retain 80C in glide too and warm up very fast ?
-
So something was changed recently which i am not aware. I remember temp needles going down to minimum values when cruising at low power in cold weather. With hot weather Spitfire had no problems with overcooling temps like +20C or more things were getting bad at sub freezing temps, engine warm up took ages, extreme overcooling while descending and landing plane and low alt cruising. And oil pressure going off the gauge range.
-
This bug persist since Spitfire release, at least ED could disable engine failures related to high oil pressure and low engine temp. Then every one would nicely wait for fix.
-
Oil dilution was done before engine shut down in cold months, so engine could be started next day. Oil dilution by fuel allow to drop oil pressure so engine can take full rpm at take off w/o exceeding max oil pressure limit, but this is last resort, engine does not like being lubricated by oil/fuel mix, it is quite erratic way of limiting oil pressure. The better way is just to keep high oil temp by electric heater, but i assume that electric out put of average ww2 airfield wasn't enough to perform such actions. If i am concerned DCS should have build in pre-oil dilution, so when mission start with temps qualified for oil dilution, the plane should be diluted before start up.

From P-51 original manual.
-
Remember to rev engine on the ground 900-1000 and do not idle engine for longer times with throttle closed.
-
I take off with cowl flaps open but i close them before i hit 225mph, p-47 isn't exactly top fule dragster so before plane hit 225 it is plenty time to close them
-
I remember someone who just bought DCS P-51D posted, that FM of P-51 is BS because he watched recording of ex p-51 ace doing aerobatics in p-51 and he could not replicate those aerobatics at first try. Some ppl expect to be Ace driver since first minute of the flight time. Truth is that to become ace you need a lot of training, how ppl can expect to perform those aerobatics perfectly after 5 min in the plane, this is very odd for me. I am perfection this game sucks
-
Some ppl may close cowl flaps in order to warm up faster, but manual is clear, cowl flap full open to avoid spark plug wiring harness burn out, not sure is it modeled or not but for warm up regardless on outside temp cowl flaps open fully. I take off with cowl flaps full open every time i haven't encounter any problems with that take off setup.

track from mission not video, size of track is very small couple megabytes.
-
Probably in horizontal orientation there is not enough energy to perform roll like this.
-
Fatigues disappears with adrenaline but only as impression, if body is fatigued it will affect top performance regardless. In DCS we have pilots which are first day well rest, what about over worked exhausted pilots doing missions every day over and over affected by deaths fellow pilots too, all of this impact performance, no matter if some one like that or not.
-
Agree, and addition to this, pilot can not pull high g all day long, he get exhausted. So maybe it is possible to do such a thing for short time but definitely not for longer periods.

Im good with throttles and rudder alone, using brakes is too erratic, take off does not look good. It is good chance to bust your tail wheel if brakes aren't used with caution.
-
Thing is that with AI laser accuracy this u-boot act like flak tower
-
I have question, what kind of controller are you using ?? Your control inputs are rather erratic.
