  1. Piling on. The Su-27 taxied past the first fire. Held short in the second fire. Waited for an AI F-5 to take-off and the proceeded like the aircraft hadn't just been hanging out a 1000 degree fireball created by the jet that had blown up just before it thought it was OK to hang out in said fireball. Absurd is too mild a word to describe describe this situation.
  2. Call inbound and then see you at 10 or established to start the queue.
  3. Make sure EPLRS is set to on for your AWACS. You have to add it through the advanced waypoint actions interface in the mission editor. If it isn't, you won't have data link.
  4. Has anyone tried directly editing this structure in the miz file, filling it in with a LUA script, or perhaps with the waypoint properties editor?
  5. You can use a precise waypoint and wpndsg the point using TOO mode to make it easier to send the GPS weapons to the same target point.
  6. This is sorely needed for multi-player, especially the popular servers where several different groups can jump in.
  7. If you are in visual range, the Mk-1 eyeball is a valid IFF source. For all intensive purposes you are merged if you are in AIM-9X range.
  8. Is your air speed Mach 1 or higher when you do this? If so, you can't hear sounds because the aircraft is advancing faster than the sound waves. They never reach your "virtual ears." Try getting slow and then kicking in the afterburners and checking.
  9. For reasons unknown - ATFLIR picture is extremely bad at night with ALG turned on. Your best bet is to follow advice from @harker
  10. I'm rooting for Jimmy.
  11. If you compare the cost to an hour of flight time in a real F-14, there's simply no comparison. There are some nice campaigns for it, and it is a very different experience from the Hornet putting it down on a carrier deck. The free trial is great deal to try it out and see how you feel about it. If you aren't in love with it you'll never be happy with the purchase.
  12. The fans are mounted on a swivel joint. How about just the ability to move it out of the way instead of stopping it with your finger?
  13. Thank you for the PSA on the flight model.

      My pleasure. 🙂

  14. The F-14A seems super slippery with and without external stores. Braking for join ups definitely seeems to need more time than previously. Linear acceleration also seems like it is a little more sporty. If HB didn’t change anything, perhaps ED did? I haven’t flown the14B much this patch.
  15. which ever one has 20 rockets.
  16. I noticed there was no effect for rockets (or least that's how it seemed, default settings). Is there supposed to be?
  17. BN and ED's other testers can do the same thing and have apparently elected not to. It's not a high priority bug. I provided the essential information.
  18. It's a little odd that the primary carrier ATC radar rotates on the free CVN-74, but not the paid super carriers. The SPN-43C is the main radar used by the carrier for air traffic control. If it isn't operating there are other procedures they would use which are certainly not anticipated to be implemented. SPQ-9B is optional, but would normally be operating because it is part of the self defense OODA loop.
  19. There's a WWII Essex carrier planned from Leatherneck to support the Corsair. I can't find the post to reference.
  20. Recommend using 3 to 5 knots for station keeping. You are correct that you can't just make a ship go 0 knots and expect to hold a heading.
  21. That part is ED's job. They have the track file and can step through the code.
  22. There's no control that affects wing fold that can sync to anything. It's only buttons.
  23. I have wing fold CW and CCW mapped on an otherwise unused rocker switch on a Thrustmaster MFD. No switches that hold position. And it's an instant jump from fold to spread. Nothing is mapped to those actions. I have Synchronize controls set. I did notice that the only time this seems to happen is the first load into the cockpit.
  24. This a variation on the above report, not the same issue described. When doing a cold start on a carrier in the Hornet, the wing fold handle is set to fold at load in and then jumps immediately to spread. It doesn't seem to matter if it is the default carrier or the super carrier. I have also seen this in both the Persian Gulf Map and Syria map. Track file is attached. The consequence is that when multiple jets starting up on the carrier, aircraft get damaged when the wings are unwittingly spread while in parking positions. The work around is to verify your wing fold handle is the correct position before startup. server-20210605-072542.trk
