  1. i confirm this @BIGNEWY the tag "real life evidence needed" surely must be wrong. the scale reads "20 40 60 30", which for example means the value 30 would have two distinct positions on this indicator. it mathematically makes no sense. please reconsider.
  2. pretty sure this is intentional. the reason why distant objects are not rendered is because performance. but when youre zoomed in, there is less area/objects to be rendered while the objects themselves also become larger on your screen, so it makes sense to render them, in such a situation.

  4. hi i already made a thread for this "green/black" bug, please add future posts here: in regards to trackfile inaccuracy: yes, they detoriate quickly. anything more than 15 minutes of flight is a gamble. if youre dodging missiles and cannons, then the outcome is entirely random each time, because even tiniest difference in positioning will cause very different outcome.

Hi, thanks for answer my drivers are the latest and all driver settings are set to applications settings or off. in my DCS settings, SSAO is off (my GPU is not powerful enough for it). i tried changing various settings and it had no impact. again, id like to note that this issue appeared with initial dcs 2.7 and wasnt present before.

  7. im running it perfectly fine on an average PC (1600X, RX 580, 32GB main memory), no performance problems at all. im not using VR.

  9. vaziani ILS and TACAN are wrong in multiple missions. how big is the deviation? can you upload a track?
  10. temporary solution for now is to edit the .miz in editor, modify date so that there is full moon and perhaps remove clouds if theyre thick.

  12. This was reported repeatedly in the past even with video evidence of HUD (length of lines representing the threat level / distance IIRC). I dont think ED has any plans to fix it Another issue with RWRs in F-16 and FA-18 is that threat symbols dont rotate around when you turn, based on data from INS. They snap to new positions only when the RWR performs an update. Interestingly this works in F-14 and AVB8.
  13. i think its a bug in the physics engine. its throwing particle effects around with random trajectories and with random attributes like color i suppose.
  14. this might be a different bug dcs engine can have only one light capable of casting shadows. there are two such lights in the game, moon and sun. so when sun is about to come out, moon light is turned off. this causes sudden darkness shortly before sun rise, because moon light is disabled and sun light is still below horizon.
  15. id like to add that this bug can easily be used for cheating. if i see black/purple/green dots flashing on my screen, i know the other plane launched a missile.

  17. Since 2.7, there is a new video corruption happening. Its triggered by particle effects, apparently missile launches or missile hits, during their first couple frames. track: none for now, seems to be a bit sensitive and sporadic. this phenomenon was previously noticed by other players too but cause was unknown. this one ^^^ shows it from up close, it looks to me like the little puff sprites from missile engine smoke, but randomly appearing in air with weird colours.
  18. yes, it is a reported bug. its not about forgetting those steps.
  19. engine fires and apu fire are not implemented.
  20. because the freezing feature is bugged, sometimes the pilot freezes for no reason. might be connected to the bug when pilot goes hypoxic randomly.
