  1. Get familiar with the "save" function. Edit/Save Static Template/Same Name/Replace File. When you add something, save it right away. Saves a lot of tears.
  2. I have them working on FARPS. Haven't tried them on airfields yet, but they probably will. Just try them.
  3. @jimblue74 Don't forget your Nv CP settings. Mine are as follows using LG 32" 1080p Monitor. In game gamma is 1.7.
  4. Also turn off auto rudder. Just use the paddles with about a 10-15 curve. The auto rudder will fight you. As an alternative, set take off assistance to 40-50.
  5. Yeah, I meant external pods. Thanks for the info. Also works with grenade launchers, but they are practically useless. Inaccurate and very hard to aim. I think they are primarily anti-personnel weapons. Drop a bunch of them in the middle of a group of troops and shower them with shrapnel.
  6. Is there any combination of rockets and guns that will work? it seems that all I can load is rockets OR guns.
  7. But it is not a level bomber. It is a dive bomber, but equipped with a Norden it could be used as a level bomber, but I don't believe it was ever used like that; I could be wrong though. Again, it's only my personal opinion and I have to agree with @FlankerKiller, this thread is about the B-25 and you are hijacking it to advocate for the TBF. Please stay on topic and start your own thread for the TBF or any other plane you would like.
  8. I agree completely with @Nomatic. Especially since the introduction of the Mosquito, DCS has proven muti engine/crew modules are here to stay. It's time now to introduce a multi engine/crew level bomber and B-25 is the perfect fit for DCS. Not only is it a good level bomber, (up to 3 1000# An-65's) but it is also equipped with 6 .50 cals in the nose, twin 50s on the top and in the tail, is fast and maneuverable enough for ground strike and even can dogfight others of it's ilk, Ju-88 comes to mind. @evanf117 if given a choice btw TBF and B-25, I would go for the 25 first for the above reasons, then I would be happy to fly a TBF, it's only that we need more multi engine/crew craft and a level bomber, so B-25 just fits the bill. I don't think DCS is ready for 4 engine aircraft yet, so don't hold your breath for B-17, B-24, etc. My honest opinion of course.
  9. @RWC See the previous post. IMHO 16gb memory is on the border of what's needed for this map. Make sure you have enough virtual memory. Also, cleanup and repair may be needed.
  10. @dresoccer4 Make sure that you also check (in specials page) the center rudder option. Then when you set your trimmer, release the stick for a second and it will hold all three axis settings. You must release the stick every time you make an adjustment. Twist until the side slip indicator is in the center, press the trim button and release your grip. BTW, twist stick for rudder is not recommended for helicopters. It is not sensitive enough for fine adjustments, plus it is too easy to accidentally twist your wrist while making pitch and roll changes. It is much better to map your rudder to a separate controller such as pedals or (like I use because I am handicapped) the rocker/slider on the throttle.
  11. Have you ever tried bombing without a sight? Given altitude, speed and windage it's pretty near impossible for level bombing. The Norden was inaccurate at best, but it got the job done, albeit with a lot of collateral damage. It was the best tech for the job in the 1940's. A level bomber module without it would be unplayable.
  12. @Northstar98 What would really be cool is to have the paratroopers land and then move to engage the enemy. May be asking too much though.
  13. @razo+r is correct. Right click on the arming switches to arm the bombs. P-51 Bomb Test.trk
  14. @Tinman Thanks buddy. I hadn't seen the new 2022 promo yet.

    C-47

I just recently downloaded it and it works fine. Even has cargo you can load and drop and several different skins.
  16. Thanks for the C-47. This iconic and long needed plane is finally here. I know it's way too soon, but it would be nice if there was some cargo to load and drop, or some paratroopers as well. Right now it just seems to have a basic FM and not much else. Are there plans to improve upon it?
  17. @Flappie It's better than it was, but now they go crazy on the radio. Watch track 'til the end. Wings-Radio 1.trk
  18. Like I said, it's a monumental task, even for MS with all of their resources. Perhaps what would be better for ED would be for all of our current maps to reflect the curvature of the earth. That alone would enhance immersion and add more realism.
  19. Yes, it follows the group. The carrier needs to be the 1st unit in the group. Make sure your "Follow" setting are correct and that you have selected the group. The "Distance" setting is fore and aft in feet, with 0 being amidships. Negative numbers are aft and positive numbers are fore. The "Interval" setting is port and starboard in feet, with 0 being amidships. Negative numbers are port and positive numbers are starboard. The "Elevation" setting doesn't seem to do anything. I keep it at 0. The helo's altitude is defaulted at 240-250 ft. If you have more than one carrier; for each ship to have their own helos, they must be in a separate group, or you can use M.O.O.S.E with their "Rescue Helo" script to be able to have separate helos for each ship in the same group, because they follow individual ships instead of groups. I have a mission with 2 SC's and 1 Tarawa. Each have their own helo, but because the M.O.O.S.E script also includes a rescue feature, if someone crashes into the sea, all three helos fly over to the crash site together.
  20. The whole word is already on MSFS2020. I saw a video of how they did it. I wish ED devs good luck. It is a monumental job. If ED does the whole world, 3rd parties will no longer be needed.
  21. You can now assign a Helicopter to "Follow" a carrier in the advanced waypoint options, however it will just stay there on station and not go to the scene of a crash like it does with the MOOSE-RESCUE HELO script.
  22. @Tree_Beard ED is aware of many, many issues with AI and they are working on it. Fixes coming soon. General Flight Model (digitalcombatsimulator.com)
