How to decode the weather?
pokeraccio replied to Cathnan's topic in F/A-18C Raven One: Dominant Fury campaign
https://www.climate.gov/maps-data/data-snapshots/data-source/sst-sea-surface-temperature Q:Why do these data matter? A: While heat energy is stored and mixed throughout the depth of the ocean, the temperature of water right at the sea's surface—where the ocean is in direct contact with the atmosphere—plays a significant role in weather and short-term climate. Where sea surface temperatures are high, relatively large amounts of heat energy and moisture enter the atmosphere, sometimes producing powerful, drenching storms downwind. Conversely, lower sea surface temperatures mean less evaporation. Global patterns of sea surface temperatures are an important factor for weather forecasts and climate outlooks. @AdrianL is right. -
Remember also for shore based operation to double check Anti Skid is ON (effective down to 40 Knots ground speed). Below let's say 80 Knots, aerodynamic control surface become ineffective, so NWS and little gentle rudder input to mantain centerline, be sure to do not engage the HI mode of NWS. As soon as you are firmly with main wheel gear on the ground use brakes with a smooth but constant progression till you are fully using them when you are approaching taxi speed. Approaching 40 knots, relax the pressure to avoid skid, and when below 35 Kts start again with more pressure. You should achieve a good results. (remember @razo+r's important advice about the throttle and flight/ground idle).

even with long press no joy? -

fixed Mission 5 - Exterior Lights OFF
pokeraccio replied to Rafael Coelho's topic in F/A-18C Raven One: Dominant Fury campaign
Be sure you have bind the light switch on the left throttle (called pinky switch), this is your switch to turn ON / OFF F18 Lights. -
Now we need to check why natops material is different... or which one of the references is the thruth UPDATE: In DCS F14B the DLC are engaged with Landing Flaps and Thrust lower than MIL, also with the Landing Gear UP, so the PDF manual seems incorrect, I do not have Natops to check it out, but you looked at it, this make sense.

from HB F14 Manual: DLC Direct Lift Control The DLC or Direct Lift Control is used to control vertical glideslope position without pitch control inputs or engine throttle commands. The DLC uses the two inboard spoiler sections in conjunction with small corrections on the tail stabilizers to control lift. The DLC is engaged by depression of the DLC switch on the control stick with flaps and gear down. This causes the inboard spoilers to extend to half and enables the DLC & maneuver flap command thumbwheel on the control stick to control them. Rotation of the thumbwheel forwards extends the spoilers towards the max up position, decreasing lift and adjusting glideslope position downward. Rotation of the thumbwheel aft retracts the spoilers towards the flush position, increasing lift and adjusting glideslope position upward. Another depression of the DLC switch disengages the system. Here you can find the HB F14 Manaul, most of the useful info are in it. \Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\Mods\aircraft\F14\Docs To answer your specific question: Chapter 3. Case III procedure in case of a bolster
pokeraccio replied to atercygnus's topic in DCS: Supercarrier
in DCS not implemented yet, in real life I heard the radar vectors you to enter in a straight in approach between 2 traffic approaching as they manage with separation some "holes" to handle bolters in CASEIII we talked a little bit here: -

I agree that should exist an alternate way to retrieve them anyway.

not planned or correct for version APKWS laser guided rockets for AH-64D
pokeraccio replied to CrashMcGhee's topic in Wish List
If you are referring to the APKWS Will the Advanced Precision Kill Weapon System (APKWS) be included? The APKWS was not fielded to the AH-64 until late 2015. Our AH-64D is a mid-Block II in the 2005-to-2010-time frame. This would fall well outside the version of the AH-64D that we are simulating. Further, needed information like its weapon pages are not publicly available. As such, it is not in our current planning. -

I believe before was possible, now seems a sort of bug of ME with overlapping sounds, Reflected pointed out on one of his video. From 3:33 time mark.
