Ok, one more question, if I use a script in a mission, after saving it, is this script embeded into the mission file, or script file has to be included (in zip file) as well?
-
Ok, thx for the answer. Do you maybe know, how to set search radars in mission editor, so they are not turned on for the whole time? But only when they need to (for maybe a shot period of time).
-
Can I ask here, is the acquire time of the radars also impletmented in DCS? Becuase they vary quite a lot, from few seconds to half a minute.
-
It was just a suggesition, I am doing something similar on my own, so the mission can be flown multiple times, and can never get bored, since each time you don't know what to expect.

Please create a mission with RL red SAM sites. ps: And if possible, used random modifier, so you don't know what expect each time around.

If I delete waypoints I created (lets say Waypoint 1, Waypoint 2, Waypoint 3), next waypoints I am going to create will contunue to enumerate from the last one; enumeration will not start with Waypoint 1, but will go on with Waypoint 4, Waypoint 5 and so on. Why is that so? I see two issues here: 1. If I delete waypoint, they should stay deleted - enumeration of waypoints should start from the begining (so again from the Waypoint 1) 2. If importing waypoints into a plane, it will not import just the waypoints currently listed, but it it will also import all previously "deleted". Can this be fixed? If I need waypoints, I will not delete them anyway, but if I delete them, that means I don't need them any more (else, why is the delete option there?). f-16_sam_TheWay_1.trk

But as you can see I have a proof, this used to be there, and now its gone. @BIGNEWY can you please check it out what's going on with azimuth scan in TWS mode of FCR? Current F-16 only has 60deg scan, and no other options, like: ps: Image is from latest Chuck's guilde, but thats not the, the point and the fact is that F-16 had adjustable azimuth scan in TWS mode, not it's gone.

I am glad that I can still make some laugh Seriously, this is becoming more and more confusing, someone say use OTT, other say use ODT, so how come can someone, who's not so familiar with all the stuff, know what to use?! As far as I know, majority of people here use OTT. And as far as I have tried, ODT does change some values by its self back to default values after restart, so why using it if changes are not saved? And exactly from that reason I went from ODT to OTT. No, I didn't know that. Is here someone to confirm that? Maybe Mr. @mbucchia ? At the end of the day, both app do exactly the same things, I don't know where did you hear/read that OTT and ODT have different levels of accessing the game (such as DCS), so one has global, some can overwrite, the other can't (if this is what you are trying to say).

Start learing and using Mission Editor, you can make your own mission - its an amazing tool. I use it daily.

Oh, I must have it in memory from before (few months ago) when I had other headset, and MR was there. At least I know I didn't set it to on now, since its not there So where else is it possible to enable/disable MR now? As @nikoel said, in OTT (ODT)? I use OTT. @nikoel as you can 2 posts above, I ASW is off. So this means motion reprojection is turned on?
-
The CPU is a hude bottleneck for sure. Specially when it comes to some missions, when CPU has way more work to do all the calcuations. GPU is almost idling at all times. About motion reprojection, I have turned it off in OpenXR Toolkit, so I don't know where else it could be turned on.

Is this app possible to use in VR? I tired my best, but no luck. Actually I managed to designate the green circle on the F10 map, then do the alt+tab to windesktop and click SAVE button in the app (all outside of VR headset, which was just there haning on top of my head - really annoyjing stuff). Would be so awesome to have this app inside VR one day.

I did as you said, turned on Application Render Timing widget. App motion-to-photon latency= 70-80ms!!!! WTF, how come is this possible? This is how I have set in OTT:
-
Quest Pro, 90Hz, 4090. No reprojection. I have Quest Pro to 90Hz, and when flying low (with lots of details) it draws at half of that (so at 45Hz).

Indeed my GPU is at max 40% which apparently means I am CPU bound. thx for simple explanation.

Affordable DCS Gaming Rig (non-VR) - UK
skywalker22 replied to ILoveRice's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Buy 13600K CPU instead. And make sure for a good cooling system, I would suggest an AIO water cooler for the CPU. Also go with a higher ram speed if possible (6000-6400MHz). -
How do I know if I'm CPU bound? I have disabled Hyperthreading for my 10700K in BIOS, and the game runs way smoother since then (this only applies for the current verison of DCS, since there is/are bugs regarding Multithreading). But to some how make sure if I am cpu or gpu bound, I can only help my self with an Rivatuner app (part of MSI Afterburner) and set the cpu and gpu usage to show them on screen. But even then, what I can see is that, if I am cpu bound, one of the cores (or threats, not sure what does Rivatuner it really show) is always at 100% of load. Is there any better way to find out to what am I bound to?

I can align as usual, and it gets aligned ok. You are not pressing the Enable Switch Depress for the 1st third of JHMCS alignemt process, check this out. f-16_jhmcs_align.trk
