  1. ED coded the RL possibility of random hardware error or malfunction. That's why these missies. @Aoi Kazefor more help, please paste your track here.
  2. Read ones again, and again, ... u know Its all there.
  3. 2 more things to mention: It was mentioned not to look on the HUD, but what I do, is constantly looking at the air speed of the aircraft (on left side of the hud), and the fuel flow gage, which is just bellow the DED, to keep my aircraft at the same speed as the tanker (+as mentioned before, visual inspection of the tanker and positioning lights on the tanker). You have to be quite multitasking in refueling in DCS, since the boom it self still does not work as IRL, which actually hold you on to it.
  4. You don't need to do or press anything, just position your self back to "center" position by looking at the positioning lights to turn green (up/down, and left/right). And btw, turn fuel state on your DED (press List and then 2 on ICP), so you will know how much fuel is in and how much is still left to fill into your aircraft.
  5. Air refueling TAKES LOTS of time to master. It took me months of almost daily training to master it. Watching videos won't help you much, you need to get the feeling by your self, the feeling of the speed and the positioning of your self underneath the tanker. When you are there, make sure you observe the whole picture so you know if you are at the same speed as the tanker is, and keep an eye on the PDI (pilot director lights) to make sure you are in the sweet spot. Not easy to master, take lots of time. Just keep on practicing. At start try to do that in the straight line, after that you can start practicing also in the turn, which put air-refueling on another level (speciually flying through the clouds).
  6. Sure it does, if you have rel.ang. set more then zero (lets say to default value of 45deg), the 1st release cue will be for tossing. And if you will be flying in level flight, bombs will not be dropped. But you can drop them when 2nd release cue appears after few more seconds of flying (depends of the speed and altitude).
  7. Did you try to set Release Angle (REL ANG) parameter inside Controls (CNTL) menu to 0 degree? By default it is set to 45deg (for pull up).
  8. OpenComposite is not required anymore in DCS?
  9. So are we any closer?
  10. Post a track, we don't need video.
  11. There is a lot of variables in play here like altitude, air speed, weight and aerodynamics. Check my video from a week ago: NOTE: at the moment, this is a WIP from ED side, they are studying this "issue".
  12. Are u Shiny? At 3:06 is was only Shiny vs some Mig-29S. And you both shot cca 24nm away from each other. For more help: - you can do a video and put it on YT from that flight, all online flights are saved automatically. Check your replay section. - upload the track on some website and paste the link here.
  13. Maybe F/A-18 was doing defensive maneuvers or something, that's why your radar couldn't pick it up. Please attach the track file here, or at least a tacview.
  14. I have a complaint: there is too much of pages, because of too much information per page. Previous version was better, and will keep to it. I hope you do the "lite" version as well.
  15. Damn, you are faster then google it self, 10 seconds. Anyway, blacking out has nothing to do with this topic here.
  16. not for the 1st time joining any server, but after trying to join for the 2nd time. And this was the same each game launch. This is how it used to be cca almost a year ago, when they tighten up IC rules. But I suppose that it is the same right now.
  17. Last time I tried it didn't pass the IC (in multiplayer). That's why I deleted it.
  18. Here is the video I promised of my test from yesterday, how can our F-16C sustain the Gs at 450 knots:
  19. I'm talking about sustained Gs. I would say our F-16 looks pretty fine regarding speed bleed rate.
  20. I did some test yesterday, will also upload the video I did from it. So, circuling around @5000ft AGL, started with 2000lbs of fuel, no pylons installed: speed at 450knots, I could sustain 8-5G to 9G constantly. When fuel dropped under 500lbs, I could easily hold 9+ Gs. Interesting is, when speed drops bellow 450 knots, Gs also drops (430=7,5G), if going faster, Gs rises (480=9,2+G). 450 is lets say, somehow the border that separates Gs.
  21. No. I got used to change each time, and so will you - at least until we get DTC (data transfer cartridge). Then we will be able to pre-plan in mission editor (I suppose).
  22. Something to note: boresighting is only necessary in case if using Mavericks in Pre-Planned mode. If using them in Boresight or Visual mode there is no need of boresighting. In short, boresighting is necessary when using a TGP, to make sure that both, TGP and Maverick seeker head are pointing at the same target.
  23. Agreed, I also have never seen any footage of pulling 9g for over 2 or 3 seconds (except for the Gripen, which Mover reviewed, and he was surprised about pilot's and jet's capabilities), pulling +9g for 10 seconds and even on -2g. So based on that video, I doubt how many times in his life he had ever reached 9g.
  24. Like he doesn't have memories how it used to be, right? LOL And he also tried the same thing at the deck, see my previous post. He sounds very convinced that the speed bleeding is way too fast.
  25. Another proof1 and proof2 of under performing. But I have one question, if current version of F-16 in DCS is really underperforming, there is no aircraft out there that could beat it in a 2-circle fight. If ED one day make it right, that would make F-16 ever better 2-circle fighter then it is now. No aircraft would stand a chance. Which at the same time puts all other planes currently in DCS under question about their current implementation as well. Maybe all underperform?
