  1. there is a pinned thread in the viper forum section with loads of videos from landings of all different kinds. it's worth checking them out to get an idea of what it should look like.
  2. In what way does that refer to the Harm tracking an EWR or not? In this thread it is stated that the Harm can no longer target EWRs but the training mission from that other bug report says to target an EWR. Is the mission obsolete or should the Harm still be able to track an EWR? if the harm should still be able to track the EWR, why is it marked „correct as is“? if the Harm can no longer track EWRs, the training mission cannot be completed as instructed in the mission.
  3. There‘s a dashed 2.5 degree line when your gear is out.
  4. Dont worry, glad to help. Have fun
  5. 0 ft could be below ground, make sure to use the correct elevation for your steerpoint. 0ft doesnt mean AGL / „on the ground“ but 0ft MSL and thus your tgp might be looking „below the ground“ and as result it seems that the pod is off
  6. I‘d love to hear some news on this too tbh
  7. Nah. You ONLY need to change the object name IN the description.lua edit: i‘m not at my pc, here‘s an example tho old: New:
  8. Dont rename the dds files, simply change the object name at the beginning of the lines for the fuel tank textures in the description.lua
  9. I think the tank is now called F_16_Tank_370 and obviously the custom skins need to use this as object name instead of just Tank_370
  10. Maybe the object name changed for the fuel tank and the description files need to be adjusted to reference the correct object…
  11. Sounds like stages / reference points for a pop up attack
  12. Tbh if its so easy to recreate, you might also just post the track. It saves them time too.
  13. Yeah that tail light isnt working at all sadly.
  14. You‘re pulling very hard on the stick, looks like an accelerated stall. Ease off the stick
  15. i'm guessing that's when you're in AG CCIP mode
  16. plan way ahead, position yourself so that an opponent has to come to you, play on your terms. plan your safe egress headings already before even thinking about to take a shot. be patient. don't rush an engagement just because you really really want to shoot someone, it might put you in a bad position afterwards. check known SAM sites, check other friendly assets that you could drag a bandit towards and thus put pressure on the enemy, forcing him to make mistakes. plan a safe egress heading. with that in mind, you can plan your attack accordingly and position yourself ideally. the F-16s HSD page with it's great SA is a very powerful tool.
  17. Depends. Some are, some are not. The mix makes it, and it differs every hour almost. I avoid it when it‘s full, because it‘s just a clusterf… of missiles everywhere. There‘s no real skill involved in killing a guy that is already dealing with 20 other missiles. or you‘re positioning yourself nicely for a kill and some triggerhappy lad spooks your guy with a missile and you can wave your position goodbye. half full, you get actually decent combat at times.
  18. If you press forward, you despense the selected program (1-4, depending on knob position). But if you press aft, one of the semi programs will be deployed depending on the threat
  19. It may help you understand the current limitations of the radar by reading this bug report. In short: you currently are at a disadvantage if you are generally above your enemy. and the amraams current state doesnt necessarily help the user either, there‘s reports about that too in the weapon bugs section. without opening the can of worms that this all is: try not to fly straight nose on, put the bandit on or close to your gimbal limits when taking a shot, defend nose low, use terrain to disappear behind etc. but most of all: practice, watch tacviews to see what you did and what your enemy did, and repeat. always be aware of the medium range heaters that russian jets can carry.
  20. works fine for me and my friends, never used the SRS overlay
  21. Yeah, any markpoint can be made SPI. Just select it as active steerpoint
  22. keybinds -> smoke generator on/off bind it somewhere to toggle it on and off
  23. Is the zulu time and local time set so that it is on a different date? Same happens on the f-16 on marianas edit: it was reported on the f-16 forums a while ago, maybe the hornet suffers from that too:
  24. There‘s a bug reported about leaks, hope it gets fixed soon:
  25. reproduced, see track attached. im in mav range from STP 1, scale shows 8nm. i change to HE rockets, HMD still shows scale 8nm, scale doesn't move, even if i fly closer to the STP 1. it is frozen at 8nm, so i believe it is a MAV range scale and not a CCRP or any other whatever type of scale. mav Range Scale stuck on HMD.trk
