DCS crashes on launch I was able to avoid the crash by going into the BIOS and changing the amount of active cores to 1 instead of all, changing back to the default amount causes the crash again. All of this was done after renaming the SavedGames/DCS folder, Running a cleanup and a slow repair. Same topic as the embedded one (it was created before this section of the forum was created and was requested to post it here). Crash dump hangs and is unable to generate a working zip. Uploading it anyways and the attempted repair of it. I was flying around in the Mi-8 helicopter and crashed. The game then froze and also crashed. Since I streamed this, I'll attach a short clip of the part in question: Mi-8 crash + Sim crash I'll also attach both the .crash file and the log file. I have no idea why this happened, I'm thinking it could've been because I pressed F2 at the wrong time but I'm not sure. dcs.20230311-081526.crash dcs.log -
Hello everyone, DCS is non stop crashing on me. Sometimes one thing works, then it crashes again after getting it going. then the fix won't work. Search for hours on forums and you tube videos and sometimes find another solution that works once or twice. One of the last crashes, I noticed, that I changed resolution to my projector and the game crashed. Changed the resolution back and the game work for a little bit. I have played with that resolution setting for hours before and had no issue. If its not one thing is another with DCS. I tried numerous things including reinstalling DCS, Windows (back and forth between 10 and 11), Drivers. I have set my page file, run as administrator, set DCS app to high performance in windows and nvidia control panel. Spent more time probably trying to fix DCS and get it working then flying at this point. This game is so awesome and I love flying, but its getting close to wanting to give up on DCS altogether. The these crashes are on start up, never while playing. It never gets past the LOGO on startup. Doesn't go black, just Logo pops up and then after 5 - 20 secs crash advisory window pops up. I know DCS is a delicate game and seems numerous people have so many of the same problems while others no problems at all. I'm not sure if its the same issue or a different one at this point but can someone take a look at these crash files and let me know if anything sticks out to them or something I should try. info on my pc: RTX4090, AMD Ryzen 5950x, 64gb of ram, ROG Crosshair VIII Formula MOBO, 1200watt PSU, 5 virpil hotas and panel devices (powered by USB hub), Winwing MIP( consisting of 4 devices and 3 MFD screens. Powered through USB HUB). TrackIR w/pro clip. For some reason after the most recent mt. update when I load into a mission, single or multiplayer everything works fine until I hit “fly” to begin the mission and then dcs stops responding. Hello, I had this problem for several days now WITH OR WITHOUT ANY MOD. I load a mission in the editor and after a while, randomly everything starts to flash in the map and then the game freezes and crashes. I have attached the DCS Log (As there weren't any other files in the log folder) and a simple video I just uploaded on youtube to show you. It's pretty annoying as it happens (as you can see) even after a short while and makes mission making impossible. EDIT: I just realized that this is probably not the best section, I should have posted it in the ME or Chrashes section of the forum, apologies in advance. VIDEO: dcs.log -
Choosing the aircraft jf-17 in "role select", then try spawn is cause CTD every singel time. Not once since my jf17 have work. Updates and reinstall\repair not fix this issue, change graphic setting to various different settings not fix. Hi, It seems I 'm always crashing DCS (freeze) toward the end of my MP mission, it happens after 30 - 40mn or so. I haven't noticed any unusual temperature raise, or memory clogging. The only mod I have is VRperfkit 3.0. I'm running my own MP liberation missions on a separate dedicated PC on my local network. Specs are : ryzen7 5800x3D, 32GB, 3080ti, Quest2, no overclocking, and SSD drive. I'm playing VR on stable release, using Steam launcher with OculusVR api. So far, I have : updated to the latest nvidia drivers, rebuilt fxo& metashaders, checked files integrity, run out of ideas ! Could someone make sense of my log and give me some advice ? dcs.log

Hello. With the newest OB-update, I am no longer able to access Syria multiplayer maps due to crashing, presumably because of lack of memory. All other maps are fine, and utilizing about 50% of memory, while Syria uses around 98 until crash. Pagefile is adjusted to 32GB (32768), and I've done a repair and removed mods folder. The images named RAM Cauc/PG/Syria are made in the mission editor with clear skies, and a single A10A flying from A to B. Image "High RAM" is an attempt to fly on the "Syria Rotorheads" MP server. Same results in Grayflag. In previous OB-versions I have been no where near these values. I've set preload radius to around 80000, but I have not had any issues running it with 150000 in previous versions. null dcs.log DxDiag.txt

Hello forum. Since last updated and moving to OpenXR, game crash after some minutes. No matter if 2D or VR; MT or ST. I have checked logs and I cant find any pattern. For some reason, DCS crashes to the desktop whenever I reach the aircraft select menu after a few seconds or before at the "Net Sim Post Start" section when loading. All of my graphics drivers are installed, I meet the minimum requirements, I've tried repairing, cleaning, lowering graphics settings, but nothing seemed to work. I have been using VR and it worked before perfectly fine yesterday, its only today that its not working. I checked the logs and all I could find was a message that stated: Display Tab 3: There is a problem with Virtual Desktop Monitor device. For more information, search for 'graphics device driver error code 22'. But that isn't a graphics driver, its some driver that a program called virtual desktop uses, that I use to connect to my pc from my oculus quest 2. I also tried not using virtual desktop but it still wouldn't work. Any suggestions on what I could do? Thanks. dcs.log dxdiag.txt

Hey everyone, Yesterday I upgraded to the 3060TI, and I've been able to run the game at ultra settings while still holding 65 FPS. However, I have run into a significant issue. 3 minutes into every flight, my game crashes, and my entire PC bluescreens. I am not sure why the game does this and doesn't hint ever that it is about to crash. R5 2600 3060ti 1tb Samsung SSD 16gb ripjaws v 3200 700w be quiet PSU Not sure what the issue is here, please help.

Hi everyone, When attempting to jettison weapons on the Mi8 the game crashes to the desktop. The video recording is attached. What I've tried: Remove all add-ons (no effect) Cleanup and repair DCS (no effect) Steps to reproduce: Create a mission in the Caucasus with a single Mi8 (Ramp start hot) Add weapons to Mi8 (use video for reference) Start mission and jettison weapons Expected: Weapons are jettisoned Actual: The game crashes to desktop. Hello, After only a minute or 2 of flying, the latest version of Open Beta (latest version as of today, 8/16/23) crashes to desktop. I've run the 'slow' file repair a couple of times, scf scannow (no issues), updated my 3090 to the latest driver but the problem persists. Attached is the last log created. If anyone has some suggestions on how I might resolve the issue, I look forward to hearing from you. DCS has been unusable for many months due to this problem.Thank you! dcs.log

Hi all, I know this has been discussed multiple times but I can't seem to figure out why DCS keeps crashing on me. I have been using DCS MT and it crashes randomly sometimes after 15 minutes and sometimes after 30 or 40. All my drivers are up to date and my page file is plenty big. Hi all, DCS crashes every time i try to load Syria, or shortly after loading in any other map/module. This is happening for about 2 months now, i have tried adjusting the page file, but this did not work (i have 16 gb of ram and set the pagefile to something like 50 gb on an m.2 ssd). I have also tried repairing the client, renaming the savedgames folder, and completely reinstalling the game. Could someone determine what the problem is from the crash logs? Hi! I was always a campaign player but I started a few days ago with multiplayer using the open beta. The problem is that the game always crashes with the same problem: "Unfortunately DCS crashed. Allow DCS to gather additional debug info using dxdiag.exe?". I have no idea what that means so any help would be really appreciated! Here are the log of crashes (no idea which one is the one that has the info) Edit: I tried different MP servers and the game crashes every time, maybe in 3 minutes or 10 minutes, but it does always. I tried joining 2 Hoggit servers and a dogfighting server and every time I make it through the server loading screen to the plane/ briefing page. When I go to click a plane, use the scroll bar or click on the page at all the game freezes and windows says that the program has stopped working. I have 16gbs of ram so I don't think that is the issue.

Currently have 4 servers running on beta with different missions all are crashing with the same/similar crash logs Sadly cannot post a track file as they are all above 5mb. The servers seem to be crashing at random times in the missions. sometimes 10 mins, sometimes 2 hours. Hello DCS community... May I please request some assistance from anyone who has an idea about VR - 'Blue Screen of Death issues'...? Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated. In short, I'm trying to troubleshoot the reason why using my Reverb G2 causes the dreaded 'Blue Screen of Death' 99% of the time I use it with DCS (and I think any other title). It can be 3 minutes after commencing a flight / mission, or 20 minutes - the timing is random. *** Further to that, I can be playing using the monitor (2D), and if the Reverb is simply plugged in (Display Port, USB 3 & Power Adapter) even without WMR & Steam VR running, then DCS will still BSOD at any random time after starting to play *** SYMPTOM: - Blue Screen of Death with varying error messages, causing a reboot of the PC - Timing can be at any stage of gameplay (2 minutes or 30 minutes) - I can play DCS all day long using the Monitor, but if the Reverb is plugged in & idle in the background (even without WMR or Steam VR running) I'll still get the BSOD after a random amount of time BASIC SYSTEM SPECS: - i7 8700k - water cooled - 32G 3600Mhz DDR4 RAM - ASUS Strix ROG 370-G Motherboard - Gigabyte RTX 3090 OC Edition GPU - Corsair RM-1000W PSU - Windows 10 - 20H2 TROUBLESHOOTING SO FAR: - Updates Updates Updates! Windows 10, BIOS, latest Nvidia drivers (clean install after using DDU in Safe Mode) - Re-Rack of GPU - Thorough check of all PSU wiring & plugs (GPU is using two seperate PSU Cables / Sockets) - 100% Stress / Thermal testing (using both AIDA64 and Superposition) GPU & CPU temps are quite good with no issues. - Plugging the Reverb USB into different USB 3 ports - Plugging the DP Cable into different GPU DP ports - Device Manager - USB Power Management Tab, preventing any / all of them from 'saving power / powering down' *** Am I missing something basic? May I please put it out there to anyone that is more 'Hardware Tech Savvy' or has seen this before? Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated *** Cheers...
