About us Virtual Air Fighters is a community that has been described as "MilSim Light". We fly exciting Hollywood style missions, with an emphasis on fun and engagement over pure realism. Once we have the numbers you will be split into individual Squadrons depending on your abilities and preferences. Navy or Air Force. Just because you select one group now doesn't mean there isn't the ability to change in the future. Squadron changes will happen at the discretion of senior staff members and a request to move cannot be made more than once per year. We must make it clear that we are NOT a heavy military simulator group, we run exciting missions that don't always conform to realism. When we bring on new pilots we are way more interested in your personality and how you fit into the team than we are with your skill set. New applicants will be required to do a check flight with a senior member of the team. This is to ensure your personality fits with our team. Basic Requirements: Must be 18 years or Older Must reside within the UK/Ireland. HOTAS or Equivalent. Headset/Microphone (Required) Must be able to fly at least 1 day of the 2 per week. See application form for days. We are extremely flexible when it comes to flight times, your personal life will always take precedent over any sim flight team. We are understanding to your personal needs. However, a continuous lack of communication or involvement in the team over several weeks will result in a single warning followed by removal from your Squadron and if necessary a reapplication will be required. The Digital Coalition Air Force (DCAF) is pleased to announce that it is opening recruitment once again. Sharpen your skills and get the best out of what DCS has to offer. We are currently doing selection for controllers (whether ATC, GCI/ABM, JTAC/FAC), F-15E Strike Eagle, F-16C Viper, and F/A-18C Hornet. DCAF is a organised and academic milsim group with most of its community based in the EU. We pride ourselves on our structured online training curriculum, instructors, and the ops that we offer. Presently, we alternate between a training and operations season, the former is used to train new cadets to the required squadron standard, and for current members to stay current. We undertake this rigorous training program to ensure that all our members meet the standards required for operations, getting the best experience from the immersive scenarios our mission makers create. Our times: During training seasons we fly as a group every Thursday 1830GMT/BST with individual squadron training happening on Tuesdays or over the weekends. It is a minimum requirement to regularly attend every Thursday, and dependent on some roles, attend twice a week due to instructor workload and meaningful progression. During operations seasons we alternate weeks between planning/practice and executing the missions where the minimum attendance requirement is at least twice a month. Our squadrons: (v)RAAF No.75 Squadron 'Magpies' - F/A-18C Hornet No.75 Squadron is DCAF's newest addition to the line-up with the ambition to provide unparalleled versatility and multirole capability to operations. Commitment, tenacity, and self-improvement are core values to our squadron's culture. After completing our comprehensive training program, you'll be adept at roles ranging from CAP against 4th generation threats in BVR or WVR, to low-level strike and aerial interdiction against the toughest of targets - regardless of the environment or conditions. (v)USAF 119th ‘Jersey Devils’ - F-16C Viper 119th 'Jersey Devil's is DCAF's dedicated "Wild Weasels", specializing in hunting and killing enemy SAMs and SHORAD systems, clearing a path for the other squadrons. We are looking for pilots that accept high risk, that are flexible and able to solve problems fast and creatively as they pop up. We are usually first in and last to leave, and we rely on our own ability to defend against air and ground threats alike! If you like fast and dynamic problem solving, and love flying the "racing model" of all airframes, then you might have what it takes to be a Devil! (v)USAF 335th ‘Chiefs’ - F-15E Strike Eagle The 335th ‘Chiefs’ is DCAF’s premier air-to-air squadron, traditionally focused on advanced fighter tactics and air superiority. With the introduction of the F-15E Strike Eagle, the Chiefs have embraced its multirole capabilities, expanding their legacy of precision air combat into the strike domain. Thanks to the F100-PW-229 engines, APG-70 radar, and heavy load capacity, the Strike Eagle allows our pilots to stay on station longer, fly higher, and strike harder than any other platform in DCAF’s roster. If you are interested in rigorous training, mastering both air-to-air and air-to-ground operations, and getting the best out of what DCS has to offer, this is the squadron for you. By the end of your training, you will be able to operate effectively in a flight, execute four-ship tactical formations (TACFORM), and conduct Beyond Visuals Range (BVR) engagements in any weather or time of day – all without datalink. You will be trained in both Defensive and Offensive Counter Air (DCA/OCA) fundamentals to tailor the squadron’s air-to-air tasking to any mission scenario, including Air Combat Maneuvering (ACM) execution and air to air refueling (AAR) - day or night. Beyond air combat, you will also learn to employ the Strike Eagle’s unique precision strike capability – from JDAM and LGB missions to low-level ingress and pop-up attacks at night in hostile airspace. The 335th blends traditional air superiority doctrine with modern strike tactics, making our pilots adaptable, effective, and ready for any tasking. Combined Controller and Support Wings: DCAF started as a place to practice radio telephony with real-life procedures and continues to do so. Air Traffic Controllers and Aerospace Battle Managers are a mainstay in our operations, providing a great setting for both experienced and aspiring controllers to hone their skills. We are accessible for those looking to see what it takes to run our air operations (whether you're freelancing in the DCS community or a military/commercial professional). Our Support Wing helps deliver an immersive experience for DCAF's operations (role playing, logistics, and other supernumery roles). We provide FREE licences for LotAtc on our servers for both members and guests. Simple Radio Standalone is used for radio communications, with Combined Arms being required for ground roles. 21NSQD | Recruitment Letter | 10/03/2022 Our squadron is operating with member countries of the NATO and therefor allows a wide range of available airframes for all types of operations. Our goal with the 21NSQD is to provide a high standard of training, exercises, and operations to complete combined with fun and lots of events. Note: The 21NSQD is currently a German based squadron (all leaders are from a German-speaking country) but we also want to have members from all over the world. Hello DCS Community! The TAW EU Squadron is looking for new recruits to bolster our ranks. We are looking for people of all skill levels from beginner to advanced, in both A/A and A/G - as long as you can get your favorite airframe airborne and can communicate in English you are set. We run our main PvP event every Sunday 1845 Zulu(GMT) and an additional weekly training (currently on Wednesdays at 1900 Zulu). We regularly fly modern jets but encourage our members to try stepping out of their comfort zone with occasional events set in different time periods. Greetings, The Virtual Airforce (VAF) is a virtual fighter squadron that operates in DCS. We are a milsim-lite group focused on multi-airframe operations and camaraderie. Our well-established European wing boasts an average member age of 30+, creating a mature environment. VAF currently has operational squadrons flying the F-15E, F-16C, F/A-18C, AV8B. We recently opened a dedicated F-4E Phantom II squadron as well. Twice weekly, these squadrons conduct a mix of formal training and operational deployments. We welcome new and experienced pilots to lead additional airframes. We also seek dedicated ATC controllers - ground, tower, approach, GCI, and JTAC - to establish a controller unit within VAF. Bonjour tout le monde, Premier post pour moi et pas des moindres, puisque j'annonce l'ouverture du recrutement d'un nouvel escadron. L’escadre de chasse 55 allemande (ou Jagdgeschwader 55) ouvre ses portes aux pilotes qui seraient intéressés par le vol sur un avion d'origine soviétique dans un cadre typé OTAN. Partie intégrante de l'escadrille 4thVEAW nous bénéficions de l'accès à un serveur dédié ainsi qu'aux différentes missions que proposera le groupe, et ceux avec autant de réalisme que DCS peut apporter. Les missions principales de l'escadron sont actuellement l'attaque de piste et l'escorte mais très rapidement nous viserons d'autres rôles tel que le bombardement ou l'interception. Des sessions d'entraînements ont lieu une à deux fois par semaine, dont le lundi, où nous pourrons coopérer avec d'autres escadrons du groupe. Ces entraînements seront l'occasion de former les pilotes novices (qui sont les bienvenus) au module MiG-29G ainsi qu'à la communication et la coordination entre appareils. Whaaaats up everyone I’m writing this post mostly because my dcs squadron of 250 member are looking really bad for this rare thing called viggen pilots :). We are mostly a US based squadron but have members all over the world. You must be able to speak English, be 18+ and just a nice individual. We organized events multiple times each week on our own servers that are open 24/7 and with prebuilt huge dynamic scenarios. On top of that do we also have campaigns wher we can have up to 40 people flying at ones. If you are experienced in the viggen that’s great but I’m willing to teach you the viggen inside and out if you so want to. So are you the one that likes to fly low and stupidly fast above the tree tops, strike targets that are deep in to enemy territory or just do send RB-15s at a poor carrier group.
