It is a similar modification to what can be seen in P-51 'ride-along' aircraft at airshows.

Ahaa, I see. Why call it TF51D then? Don't want to be picky. :music_whistling: Maybe less confusion to people like me. ;)

Need combined arms

Put a manpad on the map. Put an aircraft in the air. make sure your a commander. point the missile at the plane until the color goes green and fire.

Yes. Plus no weapons and no gun sight. I find it a little easier to land as well.

...and no fuselage tank. All of which could impact weight balance, if the missing weights (and possible different COG) are accounted for in the model.

Man, those FIM-92's cant reject a flare worth a damn :P

Plus the Stinger guy has no texture. He's all orange with error text!

But that aside (its a beta after all), MANPADs are fun as heck. The tank combat now is actually very enjoyable too. And Im in love with the Gepard SPAAG with its laser range-finder >:D

Man , the free P51 is such a great idea. The guns dont have any value in DCS anyway , so not having them is not an issue. I dont have the real P51 , and i know that if i would have bought it , i would just use it to cruise around and not do actual combat. Getting it for free is great.

I also love the su33 cockpit , the SU25t cockpit is ... well , different , not for better or for worsse , but i'll probably get used to it , i do miss that reflection in the screen ;)

I downloaded and installed 1.2.8 open beta, then logged into the module manager. There I saw an option to install the modules that I have purchased. I clicked it, then DCSW closed (crashed?) and the desktop was shown. Then nothing else happened. I thought it should start downloading? What should I do? I have already tried repairing the open beta install.

Thanks.

run MP and login, then exit and run SP, enter Module manager and login, everything would be fixed and normal download can be executed

Well, I tried using DCS_Updater.exe in command line

DCS_Updater.exe install FC3

as described in Skatezilla's thread here

http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=114030

And it seems to work.

Now my module is being downloaded. I hope it all works out. Will report back.

Edit: Yes, it works. The module is even autoactivated.
