I´m really afraid that with all the hard work and pressure ED has over his head with the inminent release of the Dora and the Belsimtek F-86 they hardly have time to test internally the Mig-21 to be released this month.

I hope i will be wrong

Noting Dolphin's advice on release - it would still be great to make a debut on the 21st!

Of course these things take time, and I have no doubt we will all get a great product when it is finally released. Let it come when it comes. The Leatherneck team have been fantastic, and I think they should be proud of what they've done and how they've communicated with everyone. Bravo.

^ This +1. Very impressive considering what occurred. This sort of ethos is what will inspire me to support this dev team for many years to come.

Really looking forward to the 21 - the model and detail just looks so awesome!! i can just imagine what the multi-player servers will be like in release week - swarms of Mig-21's everywhere.

I believe the developers and testers are independent of each other. Doubt you're right, given that I think only the MiG is undergoing rigorous testing.

I think the most real date of Mig release is September, ED first will release their products as Fw-190 and F-86, and only after that will they test and work on Mig-21 integration. it is sad but most real explanation why there is no news from ED or LN, They have announced and already have DCS: F-86 and Fw-190 topics in forum, even if they are planed to be released in July and August. and there is no word about Mig ( with suggested release in 3 days)

Did you see Dolphin's post, or the many other posts that refer to his? It seems that you post here every day to speculate about the release date of one thing or another....

P.S the F-86 is not an ED product.

Hello guys,

It's very hard to wait this MIG-21 because for me this future module is the best for DCS.

Of course I love all the other modules of DCS like A-10C, P-51D, KA-50, Huey and Mi-8 but since I was little I love the MIG-21 and of course it's very hard to wait.

Of course also I really love the F-86 Sabre but I'm not a fan of the Fw-190, For me I prefer that the MIG-21 and F-86 release in first and after the Fw-190...

But it's just my dream, this summer will be a real nightmare because wait, wait the MIG-21 release it's hard....

Thinks again, Skull.

EDIT:

After to have watched these two videos yes it's sure that the F-86 and Fw-190 will be released before the MIG-21, no ?

and

For the F-86 it's not a problem because I realy love this aircraft but the Dora I don't like this warbird.

Didn't they also divulge that ED's internal testing doesn't take that long? Something like 24 hours at the absolute most and rarely that? And, you don't honestly think that they're honestly going to squash out every single bug they can? They'll try and fix the biggest ones they can find (the ones that would ruin the experience), hope that it's it, know that's not it, and wait for the first wave of community feedback before adding in little patches for the next DCSW update to fix minor errors.

It's how development goes.

Reformers hate him! This one weird trick found by a bush pilot will make gunfighter obsessed old farts angry at your multi-role carrier deck line up!

That is what I am talking about, Sabre is not a ED product, it is 3rd party product and will be released sometime in July, and it already has official thread under DCS header, and Mig-21 which is also 3rd party product and suppose to be released sometime this month, does not.

Belsimtek is a partner to ED not a 3rd party. They are what you may call the sister to ED and share the same resources as far as staff and they also carry the same "DCS" branding on their titles. This is the way I understand it and I am sure others can elaborate on it more.

Hey what's wrong with you? I post my suggestions if it irritates you, you can just ignore it, but don't tell me what to post or what to think okay ? wee live in free , democratic world

You take your own advice and ignore him if it irritates you. Seriously tho you have been spamming this thread with your impatience so umm...

I understand the anticipation so all good not having a go just chill a bit, MIG will come when it's good to go. They are not going to give you every little detail just before release are they? ;) The calm before the storm maybe..

Btw. we do not live in a democratic world.

BST is a ED Partner,

Leatherneck is a 3rd Party Developer.

There is a difference, though Im not gonna get into it.

however, Unless Dolphin, Cobra or another LN team Member stated they were submitting the MIG-21 to be integrated into DCS World, then it's speculation.

3rd Party Modules don't have to be integrated.

Like I said, Over complicating things from assuming too much.

Umm...

We informed the Eagle management we want to release later this month, which was well received. In order to do so, we need to pass internal quality checks with the Eagle. This is in all parties interest: ensure mod quality, integration stability and players satisfaction.

The module will be available for the Eagle internal tests tomorrow (09. June). We don't know how much time the Eagle will need for their tests - but I assume anything up to 10-15 days (could be much less). Note that the Eagle needs to check the level of integration of 21 to DCS core, and perhaps extend their code to fully support it.

It's the earliest date you can estimate if you take Dolphin's timeframe figures as what's going to happen.

It might well be later than that.

Mgeli, you really need to calm down.

Mig21Bis will very likely not be released on the 20th of June 2014. If I were a betting man, I'd be willing to put money on it.

Re-read Dolphin's post:

If all goes according to our plans, we will be ready at the end of this month (anywhere from ~20. June +). There are things we can't anticipate. This is our plan, and we will try hard to follow it.

That date is a guideline and only to be used if everything goes to plan. As the LN guys have been quiet, I'm going to hazard as guess that not quite everything is going to plan and they're putting in crazy hours again to try and get it finished now that ED have had a play with it.
