The X-32 is hands down the ugliest thing that ever flew

I agree, it's close anyway, I have no idea what Boeing were thinking with that one.

I wonder if they were going for a "stealthly" version of the Yak-36?

X-32 looks like a strangely happy (as in special needs) pokémon.

It really does not look right, did they design it whilst all the aerodynamic engineers were on holiday!

Hmm "Something for everyone"

And all of that other stuff they said i reckon;

F4 Carrier variant/Harrier/MiG23

Just some guesses, i think the MiG23 is the perfect opponent for the F14 and the MiG23MLD can do both A2A and A2G and refuel, so something for everyone for sure. The earlier F4's are great for the MiG21 and are tandem multi role and can refuel so again something for everyone. It all complements each other. Sea Harrier would fit in nicely too.

As requested.

I'm sure there would be at least one person on this forum hardcore enough to spot a serial number on one of the screws pointing towards a particular aircraft manufacturer and find us the aircraft in question, variant name included.

The sad thing is that if I could read the serial number I might stand a chance..

looks like NA16805 or NAS6805 bit can't be...

A little google search turns up NAS6306-10

The closest I can find is NAS6306-28D which is for a Bombardier Challenger 601.

Can't find where the exact part is from.
