Boberro Posted June 22, 2015 Posted June 22, 2015 I don't get a thing - now streams may be weekly but before weekly updates were abandoned because they were too frequent. To be honest I do not think weekly streams are so good. Reminder: Fighter pilots make movies. Bomber pilots make... wingnut Posted June 22, 2015 Posted June 22, 2015 blksolo here is your answer:smilewink: With the kinks worked out, the streams will be archived for later viewing and users are free to re-broadcast.[sIGPIC]http://i.imgur.com/27wvRIj.png[/sIGPIC]
tacky_taco Posted June 22, 2015 Posted June 22, 2015 After the success of the Twitch Stream yesterday, we are going to attempt to do a weekly Twitch stream (when the software is cooperating and I am not traveling). Currently, I am thinking that it will be on Sundays at 1800 UTC time. With the kinks worked out, the streams will be archived for later viewing and users are free to re-broadcast. It’s my hope that the first weekly stream will be this Sunday, 28 June. I will also be doing an open Q&A on the channel chat the half hour prior to the stream starting. More details to follow… Woao that's great! I was hoping for maybe once a month or just every-once-in-a-while. Weekly is great! And 18 UTC is also quite perfect. Lots of people will be very happy that they can watch the archived version too.

I missed the first live stream but knowing there is another one coming this weekend eases the pain. If I am not mistaken 1800 UTC is 10 AM PST for you. Will you have enough coffee in you by then to get you going? :D I don't get a thing - now streams may be weekly but before weekly updates were abandoned because they were too frequent. To be honest I do not think weekly streams are so good. There is a lot of ground to cover if you think about it. For starters... New features: Cover specifics a little from week to week? New Maps: (Notice SoH in the map selection?) WWII map, and other 3rd party maps. New Modules: Too many to name, but I feel the flood gates will open once DCS 2.0 is available I could be way ahead of myself, but this is my take on things. BigBANGtheory Posted June 23, 2015 Posted June 23, 2015 I got to see the YouTube version so thanks for the Stream and thanks for whomever shared the content. I can see why its not ready yet for public release I think you are doing the right thing in developing it further internally at this time. My first thoughts are would it make sense to port the A-10C training missions into NTTR with a gunnery range for target practice? When I was in Death Valley about 1.5yrs ago I saw stealth fighters training and what looked like mid air refueling, might be worth adding that type of back ground traffic. Overall I thought it was looking really good can't wait to see more.

Alicatt Posted June 23, 2015 Posted June 23, 2015 On the whole, I thought is was great experiment and an opportunity for a unique experience However... Sign up process (for chat) (and for some of the chat content itself) was the standard headache (and yes, some bugga already had my nic >grumble, grumble< words fail me :) Having to constantly F5 just to sit through a couple more adverts was extremely tedious, and enough (almost) to say; thanks, but no thanks - that sort of thing just isn't worth the experience. We don't have a huge down/ up speed rating in this country here down under, in what must appear (by others up over) to be the back end of the universe... but we get by (some here might think 10meg down/ 1meg up to be pretty cool... 4G? Netflix has done that over and is simply atrocious). It was about 15 seconds of play before buffering kicked in. In the bits I did see of the presentation, I liked what was going on, the manner of presentation and the initiative to go about it in the first place. Cheers Gents :)Adblock plus works extremely well with Twitch if you are finding "interuptions" to your stream ;) Works for most well known browsers :) https://adblockplus.org/ 1 Sons of Dogs, Come Eat Flesh Clan Cameron

pdmarsh Posted June 24, 2015 Posted June 24, 2015 Enjoyed the live stream and looking forward to more. For some of us there was confusion as to the start time. I was 45 minutes late as a result. I wonder if others missed it as well for this reason. I believe the start time was given as PST, but we are in daylight time now. Even a post with GMT given appears now to have been incorrect. What I did catch was great, though. Thanks. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] DCSFlightpanels - Utility for Saitek Pro Flight Panels for DCS World Custom Saitek B.I.P. Gnadentod Posted June 25, 2015 Posted June 25, 2015 DCS Series will have A+ future, think longterm. Imagine DCSW 10+ years from now . Breathtaking work from ED since they officially announced that EDGE won't arrive on estimated timeframe. Community (atleast me) is feeling you're really want to make up for inconveniences of last months. I'm sure you'll find yourself as the uncontested no.1 soon, keep digging.
