a little teaser on the ED discord 'dcs-wwii-chat channel indicates that the Normandy map will receive an update to expand and include London and Paris

Or perhaps, they will completely overlap in space but  not in time.  ED has indicated a desire to see the Battle of Britain in the future.   Maybe the Channel Map will evolve to cover the time period

So basically the entire area of the channel map will be covered by the expanded normandy map, rendering the channel map even more pointless than it already was before. Or am I missing something here?

I just so happen to stumble on this thread and notice the progress. It definitely looks very nice and I will say Racoon appears to show a lot of passion and if this is an example of the rest of the team then it makes things a little more bearable while we wait. Please don't stop with the teasing. It may be painful but on the other side of the coin it does help keep the excitement about DCS WWII and the other "things to come".

Interesting proposition.

 

For me though I would like to see some "no balls" sites on the map.....the V1 launch sites, how good would it be if they were active and launching buzz bombs accross the channel for players to intercept and topple or shoot down. They would make great ground attack targets, stiff with flak. Rail marshaling yards, supply depots, moving supply trains etc. That way ground attack and air combat could be added in same mission.

 

I wonder if the map will be post or pre 6th June 1944 or both?

 

Looking forward to more info emerging soon hopefully.

Maybe ED could introduce another (additional) news system: ONE screenshot per day. Just one screenshot of a random model, theater, concept or whatever they recently working on. No comments, no infos, just one single screenshot. That would be awesome.

That would generate so much random noise that it would be more trouble than it is worth.
