I see new OB is available, but none of the new features Matt mentioned made it to the change log for the F-18C. I guess it will be towards the end of the month before they are released...

Although very true, but these features were a big to do. I'm sure they would have been mentioned if they were ready. If any in the community sees the changes for the F-18C, that Matt mentioned in the update, I would like to know. :)

Everything made it; AIM-9X, AIM-120C Visual Mode, aswell as the EW updates. Also a new AIM-7MH which I have no idea what it is.

So what use are the changelogs nowadays if they omit pretty much the biggest changes (especially for a new flagship product even tho WIP)?

 

Does the content creators hate the person responsible for the changelogs and doesn't tell him/her shit?

Is the mindset that it's xmas year 'round and its meant for us to find "happy little accidents"?

Bad communication between teams?

Product in WIP so changes aren't classified as real changelog items until "completed" and to be added at a later date?

 

Not meaning it to be rude altho typing some of the stuff jokingly, just trying to get the mindset or policy :)

Sometimes the change log is preliminary. I have seen ED post an initial change log and then update several times afterwards.

So far it appears that the AIM-7MH has better range than other sparrows and much better tracking logic. That is simply early testing so far.

About these changes:

 

Mi-8MTV2 - added Instant Action missions for Persian Gulf.

Ka-50 - added Instant Action missions for Persian Gulf.

FC3 - added Instant Action missions for Persian Gulf.

 

There is no new quick-missions in this update :(

I strongly suspect it might be the test bed for IASGATG-inspired/copied missile tweaks along with guidance rework.

This is a fine time to live in as a DCS:er! ... altho the wait for all the upcoming goodies is excruciating! ;)
