Update of the M-2000C Manual

I could add my 0.02c as a new Mirage user, but really I think the manual pretty much speaks for itself fairly loudly. Lots of information missing like full info on the RADAR and Radios, why is the D2M status light flashing at me, stuff like that.

 

The A-10 manual has 700 pages, just at the other end of the spectrum, if you are after any ideas on what type of information should be in the manual, and how to display it. Obviously not expecting a manual of that scope, but a very good yardstick to use IMHO for an example of a 'complete manual'.

Finding what's missing is easy. Look at the real manual(s). If it is in there then it is probably significant and should be included in the manual for the sim. If something is not modeled then you annotate that section to indicate such.

When talking about real life documentation for a modern (70's and later) Mirage, finding what's missing is anything but easy... especially with Dassault documentation. What's available to the public is close to nothing. France's DoD is much more secretive than it seems.

I think we will just go system by system and see what is missing, what can be added as additional info (so not only how the system works, but also some hints, tips & tricks) and what is still not available in the current version of the M-2000C and clearly mark those things.

In fact there is a m2k-c manual that can be found somewhere on internet, but I guess Razbam already got it's hand on it.:book:

Even if they made it all up, they had to give the coders some documentation to work from. This is why there is no excuse for an incomplete manual.

If it is a real manual, I saw that a BRM push button is used for weapons and the joystick trigger is only used for cannon A/A and A/G modes (actually trigger is used for all weapons).
