j0nx Posted February 9, 2018 Posted February 9, 2018 My DCS 2.5 openbeta folder is 111GB. Is that right?? Thing thing is huge! 12 years of FSX and all the orbx addons etc and my FSX folder isn't even this big. I wanted to make sure this was right because it is hampering my ability to juggle multiple versions of DCS during this update period because my SSD is almost full. ED Team BIGNEWY Posted February 9, 2018 ED Team Posted February 9, 2018 If you have everything installed 3 maps all modules, campaigns and so on 100gb area is about right do you have anything in your _downloads folder in DCS root? if so you can delete that. grunf Posted February 9, 2018 Posted February 9, 2018 101 GB too, all maps, most mods. I used to have all three version, but now I have enough space for only one.
Rudel_chw Posted February 9, 2018 Posted February 9, 2018 I have 107 GB en the DCS program, plus 2.5 GB on Saved Games, plus 3 GB on mission files, plus 24 GB on Liveries ... so yeah, its a big space hugger ... at least now I can get by with just a single DCS instance rather than two. Anyway, I love this game, so much so that nowadays is about the only game that I play regularly (yeah, I know, some people dont clasify it as a "game" .. its a simulation, right? ) :) Best regards For work: iMac mid-2010 of 27" - Core i7 870 - 6 GB DDR3 1333 MHz - ATI HD5670 - SSD 256 GB - HDD 2 TB - macOS High Sierra For Gaming: 34" Monitor - Ryzen 3600 - 32 GB DDR4 2400 - nVidia RTX2080 - SSD 1.25 TB - HDD 10 TB - Win10 Pro - TM HOTAS Cougar Mobile: iPad Pro 12.9" of 256 GB
j0nx Posted February 9, 2018 Author Posted February 9, 2018 Yes there was 11GB in the _downloads folder which I deleted. Thanks for that tip bignewy! Still huge sim though. Mr_sukebe Posted February 10, 2018 Posted February 10, 2018 99.3GB for me. Slazi Posted February 10, 2018 Posted February 10, 2018 If it gets much bigger, I'm gonna rename my E: drive to 'DCS'
Torso Posted February 10, 2018 Posted February 10, 2018 121GB here and there are a couple modules I do not own....hmm..but so far I am in the lead!
Nark Posted February 10, 2018 Posted February 10, 2018 44.8 gb for me. I have only the very basic game, no additional maps or modules at the moment. But my disk could handle hundred of gb's more if necessary :)
Tone71 Posted February 10, 2018 Posted February 10, 2018 Same as most, just over 100GB. Considering the latest Doom was 80GB and GTA V not far behind that, I think it's pretty good going for 3 detailed maps and multiple detailed aircraft. Nealius Posted February 10, 2018 Posted February 10, 2018 With Caucasus and 7 modules I'm at about 59GB. Adding Nevada puts me up to around 90-95GB I think.
Spadje Posted July 17, 2018 Posted July 17, 2018 Pretty much everything, minus WW2 stuff puts me at 117. Not add on mission packs or anything....lol well, looks like I need a 1TB SSD...or at least another 512GB SSD... Manuel_108 Posted July 18, 2018 Posted July 18, 2018 Weird. Mine is 125 GB and I only have Nevada and the Hornet installed currently. No missions. No liveries. No mods. Reinstalled DCS just a week ago.
Eldur Posted July 18, 2018 Posted July 18, 2018 139GB, no mods, all modules except for Hawk, C-101, Gazelle and that GPS thingy, no campaigns. Just updated to the most recent version.

Rudel_chw Posted July 18, 2018 Posted July 18, 2018 Just updated to latest OB: 148 GB ... not counting Saved Games nor custom Liveries: I'm already saving $$$ towards a bigger SSD drive :( For work: iMac mid-2010 of 27" - Core i7 870 - 6 GB DDR3 1333 MHz - ATI HD5670 - SSD 256 GB - HDD 2 TB - macOS High Sierra For Gaming: 34" Monitor - Ryzen 3600 - 32 GB DDR4 2400 - nVidia RTX2080 - SSD 1.25 TB - HDD 10 TB - Win10 Pro - TM HOTAS Cougar Mobile: iPad Pro 12.9" of 256 GB
canadianbaken Posted July 18, 2018 Posted July 18, 2018 I just added a 500gb ssd because my other one was full. Now DCS has its own drive.
