No, I did not... why do you assume I do?

Perhaps a language/culture difference, but coming across as a know it all/saying "I told you so" is often not appreciated, especially when it was just a lucky guess. :music_whistling:

And now imagine Wags had the Mig19 on his mind while he was answering(was postponed) and the Tomcat will not release this month....oh the shitstorm....
As they just postponed the MiG-19P I doubt that. But we will know for sure in a couple weeks.

Just to be absolutly clear here, my post was not meant to be taken serious, hence the smileys. ;)

Would love to see the Tomcat this month but would not be disappointed if it was released on the last day of their timeframe.

Welp this will be a massive PR disaster if it’s not true, especially coming from the Holy Wags himself, whom a lot of people encluding myself place a lot of trust in. Strange that he’d mention this before HB, but in the end ED have control over release dates.

Why? I mean if you know anything about Holy Wags, it's his Mosty Holy of Holy Mantras:

"Everything is Subject to Change".

Current specs: Windows 10 Home 64bit, i5-9600K @ 3.7 Ghz, 32GB DDR4 RAM, 1TB Samsung EVO 860 M.2 SSD, GAINWARD RTX2060 6GB, Oculus Rift S, MS FFB2 Sidewinder + Warthog Throttle Quadrant, Saitek Pro rudder pedals.

It was soooooo long ago....It was an announcement concerning the development of the Mi-24 Hind module. It was sooo long ago that I don't remember the date any more...And since this announcement , the Mi-24 fans have received : ONE SCREENSHOT !!!!

During the last weeks, the F-14 fans have received , plenty of screenshots, movies and infos on the arrival of the Big Cat.

So be happy to only wait for a few weeks...I am so desperate concerning the Mi-24 that I have already ordered de F-14 and it will be my 4th DCS module...

For my part I am so excited and happy to only wait days of weeks compared to yearssss :music_whistling:

We also know that the final results will for sure be magnificent !

Time is running...fast

And don't forget one of my favourite African proverb : You have the watches but we (and DCS too) have the time :smartass:

Totally understandable, waiting for the Hind is excessive. As for the current plans after the ED/BST merge it seems to be the next module to come right after the F-16CJ which is, hard to believe, planned for 2019 already. In other words: The wait gets shorter.

In all seriousness though, still won't be disappointed if it ends up being the end of March :pilotfly:

Not to discredit Wags, but until I see it...…...it ain't happening. Wags could know, HB could have communicated it to him as a desire (later this month) or it could really be scheduled - who knows. Just like it was HB's desire for 2018. Doubtful it would already be scheduled and no formal announcement from HB. Wags could have gotten the month's crossed up (thinking it was March already - doubtful or he could have been answering a different question in the comments) What we do know is that it is now Feb, and as of Magz latest bombing content of today (while I enjoy any and all "Cat" content) which was nothing new and still no RIO pit along with who knows what else. We have heard very little in any form of real detail from HB lately. (Couple of statements about deciding on a release date - albeit internally, "we are working hard" statement and a picture of RIO pit artwork during the entire month of Jan. All very innocuous - by design. Nothing for me to be wowed about or hoping for a release beating the 3/20 deadline. - HB seems to be laying low - heads down - maybe even playing a bit of "Cat" and mouse if you ask me). Therefore, I am not banking on anything before 3/20 (and even that could get pushed - it is after all entirely possible - despite the guarantee - we have seen things like this in the past. So again, until it happens..... it ain't happening. I will believe it when it shows up in my available module downloads and not until.

Wags and NineLine both made the "Later this month" comment on two different media sources around the same time this morning. So i HIGHLY doubt it was a mistake by Wags answering one particular question.

Also, dont think they can blow the Mar. 20th date since money was exchanged upon that basis.

Yeah, that's why I can't believe it. I refuse to. Not gonna board that hype train until there's a firm release date. But it would be nice if releases got shorter somehow.

When will the f14 module come out?

if it does not come this winter (winter 2018, but we are in 2019 already), will they return the money?

Regards.

We have an internal target set that we communicated to ED, but we were not prepared to make any public statements until we pass our internal QA and evaluations.

Once we do so, you'll see the date communicated loud and clear. :)

Thank-you for commenting so quickly Cobra. So what should we make of Wags/NineLines comments? Disregard them until we hear it from you? Seems like there is some real communication issues between ED and HB if they went public with this before you were ready to announce anything yourselves. Puts everything in an uncomfortable position if you’re not ready.

I think everyone is very eager to get the Tomcat out the door and get everyone enjoying the product- and things are so hectic that some confusion may arise in desired communication strategies across both teams.

Nothing to worry about, we're working closely with our partners at ED to make sure the rollout is smooth.

We're very cognizant of the fact that first impressions are everything- and while perfection is completely unattainable in an EA release, we want to try and minimize the risk for any large last minute issues causing grief, hence the caginess.

Hope that helps clarify a little.

Our BPMs are at a constant 200 and will be until launch day.

Awesome reply! I think we all know that once the Tomcat is released all this bickering and immaturity will largely disappear and all thing in the past will be forgotten! Oh and that 70,000 pound weight on your shoulders will also be largely lifted!

How many truckbeds of sandbags have you gone through, Cobra? I imagine it'd take a lot to hold back this flood.

Reformers hate him! This one weird trick found by a bush pilot will make gunfighter obsessed old farts angry at your multi-role carrier deck line up!

You're proactive approach is very much appreciated.

But I've waited almost 30 years to get this kind of access to the F-14. A few extra weeks is quite inconsequential.

I love it how this little gem of "later this month" by Wags basically shuts up all the "Not before March", "Sure will be the 21st of March", "Never this month, we haven't even seen the backseat"... :D

Or it didn‘t shut them up at all, seeing Cobra‘s response I still fully expect the end of March. I‘m not disappointed though, I have become attuned to this date as soon as I read „Winter“ for the first time.

It‘s DCS, more haste, less speed.

In case you missed it the first time.
