WytchCrypt Posted May 15, 2020 Posted May 15, 2020 It gives a score in what I assume is a realistic format; it's detailed in the pre-release manual: https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=4274281&postcount=3 Does anyone know if the manual will be updated in the next few days when SC is released? I want to print it out but will wait if there will be changes coming next week. Northstar98 Posted May 15, 2020 Posted May 15, 2020 (edited) Small thing I've noticed with regard to the Supercarrier from the Grim Reapers' videos The Phalanx CIWS is still using the wrong ammunition - it should be firing untraced APDS (20x102mm MK149 and MK244 APDS if I'm not mistaken). One of the Arleigh Burke DDGs I've seen is the DDG-112 USS Michael Murphy; which is a later 5"/62 Arleigh Burke Flt.IIA, fitted with just the rear Phalanx CIWS only. In DCS however, both the front and rear installations are present. The solution to this is have another Arleigh Burke, copy and past everything but remove the front Phalanx - this way we can have 2 variants - DDGs -81 to -84 with 2 CIWS installations, and then DDGs -85 to -112/-115 with the single rear CIWS installation. Beirut Posted May 16, 2020 Posted May 16, 2020 Just guessing, probably you didn't ordered it together with the Hornet, and you did not already have the Hornet eighter, when ordering it. It was in a bundle of sort back then, with more discount for the Hornet owners. Jan 17 Newsletter: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/news/2020-01-17_Supercarrier_Pre-Order/ "We are pleased to announce that DCS: Supercarrier is available for pre-order with great savings! Pre-order DCS: Supercarrier and save 30% off the $49.99 retail value. Owners of DCS: F/A-18C Hornet will receive an additional 20% off, for a total savings of 50%. This is on top of ED Miles, you may apply." It's possible you're right. I don't have the Hornet, but I paid $51Cdn. for the carrier in February on Steam, but I'm pretty sure it's on sale here right as a stand alone, no Hornet mentioned, for $34 Cdn. It's not the end of the world, but it does kind of remove the impetus to buy a product early. But maybe I'm missing something in all this. Some of the planes, but all of the maps!
apolloace Posted May 16, 2020 Posted May 16, 2020 Su-33 takeoff animation on the Kuznetsov (from Grim Reapers videos) is not right at the moment. Needs some work ED. Greyman Posted May 16, 2020 Posted May 16, 2020 it looks like the nose wheel is not getting any resistance from the ramp and just sinks into it
Steve Gee Posted May 16, 2020 Posted May 16, 2020 I think a part of it is it was an online session as well. You could see the nosewheel through the deck as it proceeded, with the nose almost touching. Yes, the wheel should stay on the ramp, with the nose pitching up. Probably due to this sinking the plane dips slightly as it leaves the ramp. Phoenix FR Posted May 17, 2020 Posted May 17, 2020 Maybe i miss the information, what happen if a multiplayer mission use the supercarrier, and if a player don't have it and join the mission ? Is it like the WW2 asset pack, or would he have the possibility to join the mission, but he couldn't use the supercarrier ?

MrDeadpool Posted May 17, 2020 Posted May 17, 2020 Hello everyone, first time caller long time fan here... I have a question - A friend is interested in pre-pruchesing the Supercarrier and he plays DCS on Steam. My question is - is there any other additional discount (in addition to the basic pre-purchace discount) for F-18 owners on Steam and how to get it done? I know it is easier in stand-alone, but this is "Steam only" question. Thank you!
