so in order to have fun with the SC, do I have to get the F/A-18C? it won't happen, don't take it the wrong way but never like it, already have the ones that I wanted and some extras that don't, just waiting for the A-7E Corsair ll

So which jet did you expect to use for the SC?

I'm upset about a couple of things as well but let's be fair. The background picture in one of the SC tutorial vids really shouldn't matter. And he had to use another background because he wanted to show how to activate the SC wallpaper.

 

I don't think this has anything to do with hidden advertising or even developement priorities.

 

I can't speak for Wags on this, but I have the P-47 theme in mine as well because I love the P-47 menu music, by far my favourite right now.

 

And the P-47 is the next warbird up, it's in active testing/development by the warbird guys right now, I am not surprised this would point a finger at it at least.

I agree that its a minor and subtle thing and possibly unintentional, but he easily could have used either the F18 or F14 which are much more apropos for the SC since you can land them on it. But be it overt or at the subconscious level it also is telgraphing where the priority is, which is the next product, rather than the ones that are increasingly being back burnered which is what I hear over and over again from the community. I mean that epic F18 thread after they moved the goalposts on what out of EA meant? Lots of upset people that could have been mollified by a F18 in the background suggesting it wasn't a priority.

 

At any rate, just a comment, take it or leave it.

 

Also, I'm happy to see the other videos showing off the functionality. I just hope it lives up to the hype.

I9 (5Ghz turbo)2080ti 64Gb 3200 ram. 3 drives. A sata 2tb storage and 2 M.2 drives. 1 is 1tb, 1 is 500gb.

Valve Index, Virpil t50 cm2 stick, t50 base and v3 throttle w mini stick. MFG crosswind pedals.

So far the F-14 has been working very well with the SC in testing, both MP and SP, that said, there might be extra issues that need solving with it into Early Access. But it is much farther along then a month ago, for sure. Mostly its things like parking issues because of its size, or other size issues not seen with the smaller Hornet.

The current version could use a few extra touches on the graphics.

I love that ship and the Su-33 is bad ass, although, it really needs a clickable cockpit.

AFAIK the issues stem from being able to use the catapults (and more specifically the deck crew)

 

You should be able to land on the SC so long as it has a functional tailhook.

 

Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Exactly, it has instructional values, exposes the product to a wider audience and gives the team a few last days to polish stuff. I can wait a few more days watching and watching again those new videos as they come :)
