Ramsay Posted July 23, 2020 Posted July 23, 2020 (edited) Should I wait for the Kiowa or should I buy the Huey to get started with choppers? I'd start with the Huey, to learn the basics, as it's underslung rotor head should make it little more stable/easier than the KW. The KW itself will *perhaps* have the "twitchiness" of the gazelle, mixed with the complex avionics of the Ka-50. However IMHO, neither of those have a "typical" helicopter FM. My son started with the Gazelle so it is doable but as there's a lot of overlap in the Gazelle/KW mission profiles, I'd go with the Huey if your intention is to eventually buy the KW. Not exactly. It gives you an idea of where the good guys are and it can give you an idea of where the bad guys are (if anyone bothers to update it when in contact), but I wouldn't use it for danger close CAS. It does have a very handy text message function that is great when you have different radio fills than a ground unit. It does grealy assist in SA for friendly forces or aircraft in congested airspace.
Rogue Trooper Posted January 1, 2021 Posted January 1, 2021 Copy that. A environment where I will use it in DCS would be fabulous.... but we will get there. Shark 3-1 Posted June 10, 2021 Posted June 10, 2021 Quick question. Will we be able to shoot rifles out the doors? Modules I look forward too: BO-105, OH-58, AH-64, BS3, Eurofighter. huchanronaa Posted June 10, 2021 Posted June 10, 2021 (edited) It seems that it is far away, maybe it will be released at the end of this year, and Polychop-Simulations is too lazy, even for the sa342 helicopter to add a few free flight missions in Syria or channel maps Edited June 10, 2021 by huchanronaa 1
