PS I don't want to sound lazy but will there be an auto-start option for those moments when you come back from work and just need to shoot something?
You'll be able to start the mission with the engines running or at least almost running so you only have to press "start". Or you could just make a simple mission in the editor where you start in the air.

I have attached a few development cockpit images of the F-16C and Mi-24.

I notice that the Mi-24 (co-pilot's) cockpit is a Mi-24P, while the earlier announcement said you were modelling the Mi-24V. Has there been a change in plans?

Will you be adding english textures for the controls so i can fly this bird too?
From the list of fixes posted by Wags:

- English caution/warning lamps have been added to the Ka-50 cockpit
An English cockpit is currently in development by one of the testers. Hopefully, it will be included in the project officially. If not, it will certainly be available as a mod. This is in addition to the English pop-up tool tips that are already available, the English ABRIS and EKRAN systems.

Yes, there is the option to start in the 'hot' helicopter with all systems ready to go, start in the air, or start 'cold'. In addition, there is an auto-start "cheat" that will automatically run through the start-up procedure.

Thanks for the update!!

Can't wait for the Mi-24 and seeing the progress there's suddenly hope that it'll happen before 2020!

I'm very interested in an answer to arneh's question. Is that the P version? I wouldn't mind it being that one but I was hoping for multiplayer with co-pilot gunner.

Thank You for update Wags and I hope You will solve all problems soon.

I'm happy with a part that Acedy shows. But what doesn't mean You have added turbulence? We had turbulence in LockOn. Is it something different what we have seen previously, is it more complex?

I hope that this F-16C will be so complicated or more than like Falcon 4.0. I can't wait for this plane.:joystick:

question:

will there be support for multi-multi :)

as in will it be possible to have a setup similar to Urze

crazy 4 screens with one being touch + seperate shkval

thinking projector for main view,

triplehead below for instruments view with centre touch

and seperate small monitor for shkval.

I'm pretty sure that, if ED detail the f16c to the same level as we've seem in the ka50, then it will exceed f4:AF by some margin....at least in terms of cockpit controls and flight modelling.

It will be interesting to see if they manage to match F4's ground radar complexity though..interesting and exciting, because it seems like they are willing to take it all the way to be as accurate as possible.

...then multiply this by all the other aircraft they are doing....:D

Great thing I realized that ED delays release only because they are tuning and unbugging the engine but when they will done and we come finally to release date it's very possible we will see next modules in 9 months separation. There some problems as we heard but developing of new aircrafts hasn't stopped. That really good. Another so big delay can be when they will start working at new engine.

In addition to the 550+ page Ka-50 flight manual mentioned earlier, we have also now completed the 160+ page DCS manual that covers all the GUI elements to include such pages as the Mission Editor, Campaign Editor, Multiplayer screen, etc.

550 pages seem quite a few to study. it seems to me as they are basically set and maybe you can release a beta-version of the flight manual now or in the near future so we can take a look at it and start learning :pilotfly:! as for the DCS manual i think we can wait until the final release...

would be awesome

We realize that a few of you are a bit grumpy about the delays, but please understand that we wish to release a quality product and not put it out the door with known, significant bugs.

Do not worry for the impatient, others know that the wait is good, and also prefer a simulator later and well done, rather than an early and wrong.

Use the time needed.

Sorry for my bad english.

The DCS Falcon is going to leave the stock 4.0/Allied Force Falcon in the dust. Just look at the detail ont he Black Shark. Its already far, far more detailed than either of those.

What's even better is that there are other aircraft that are in development too. Definately one of the reasons why F4 took so long for me to get into (and still doesn't quite always hold my attention even today), is that I started from a position of little or no interest in the F-16. Its a bomb truck, and one that is sophisticated enough to take a lot of the excitement out of trucking those bombs. Anything "exciting" you might do in the F-16 involving air to ground has a high chance of also being suicidal.

I might be more willing to put up with the old graphics and sterile FM if I could fly an Eagle in the dynamic campaign.

And I don't mean an Eagle using the HUD and MFDs from the F-16 pasted into a custom cockpit. ;)

I am mostly interested in the icing.

You have mentioned airframe and induction icing. (Not even FSX modells airframe / induction / carburettor icing)

Can you describe how it is implemented in game. Is it a set occurance based on static weather parameters or is it dynamic with various effects ?

Also in the defence of Icing, what does the KA-50 carry? Blade tip heaters? Vibrating leading edges? Weeping membrame ?

Bleed air for induction icing ?

Bogus.
