Popular Post Cobra847 Posted February 8, 2022 Popular Post Posted February 8, 2022 (edited) We're forging ahead on engineering and programming of systems on DCS: Eurofighter using placeholder assets, and in the meantime TrueGrit Oliver Michel's work on the new Eurofighter cockpit model draws to a finish! The cockpit was modelled by using a mix of photogrammetry and more traditional measurement techniques taken from real active duty Eurofighters as reference. This will yield a highly accurate visual representation of this modern fighter, especially important of VR. Systems development will continue throughout this year in tandem with the new artwork as we grind away on our most complex module to date. Our roadmap has the Eurofighter releasing after the F-4E, but we'll keep you updated over time as we grind away. Thanks for all of the support! Germane Posted February 8, 2022 Posted February 8, 2022 It looks fantastic! I am convinced you will set a new standard. Thanks for the update. I have one question. You write about a mix of photogrammetry and more traditional measurement. Do the traditional measurements have an advantage over photogrammetry?

MiG21bisFishbedL Posted February 8, 2022 Posted February 8, 2022 Now that is looking really slick. Reformers hate him! This one weird trick found by a bush pilot will make gunfighter obsessed old farts angry at your multi-role carrier deck line up!

Mike Force Team Posted February 8, 2022 Posted February 8, 2022 Great WIP images. Thanks. I know many, including myself, look forward to when the Eurofighter is available. Will the Eurofighter be configured for an anti-ship role? Can it carry and fire anti-ship missiles like the Exocet or the Marte? 2

Also remember that our German Eurofighter will be A2A-capable only for quite a while after its initial release. This isn't an FGR4. Lurker Posted February 9, 2022 Posted February 9, 2022 (edited) I'm really looking forward to this one. I'm not usually excited for modern FBW jets, but this one is a purebred fighter through and through and I'm excited to see how simple or difficult it's systems will be to learn and use correctly. I wouldn't mind it overtaking the F4E on the roadmap either Edited February 9, 2022 by Lurker 1 Specs: Win10, i5-13600KF, 32GB DDR4 RAM 3200XMP, 1 TB M2 NVMe SSD, KFA2 RTX3090, VR G2 Headset, Warthog Throttle+Saitek Pedals+MSFFB2 Joystick.
