Its a bit ambiguous given the listed version but having AAR mentioned on the store page... I hope we see AAR probe and AAR refueling as an option that can be toggled via mission editor settings at some point down the road (as is currently done with the UH-60L mod).

This... UH-60 is a free mod, so MH-47... we're getting CH-47... kinda no excuses not too.

Extended range fuel tanks are additional fuel tanks that are installed within the cabin. Pipework connects them to the refuel system so they can be filled and pipework to the tanks so they can be used as any other fuel tank to feed the engines. The aircraft can take up to three internal tanks which could be an option for 'Fat cow' operations, where they can refuel other helicopters or tanks etc. from a Forward refuelling point. Although that has the drawback of taking up most of the cabin and it's heavy! So you'd expect to see one or two fitted if in a role where they need to use cabin space and the extended range this extra fuel gives you. The picture shows a tank, larger black box, with the Fat cow kit in the smaller box in the foreground.

I'm not following your thinking.  Why is it bad?

Whether you pre order or buy it the second it is available, you get it at the exact same time, late or not.  Delays impact everyone whether they pre-order or not.  The only difference is you get a bigger discount when you pre order.

I feel the pain. Off from Friday for a few weeks as well. It wasn't planned to coincide with the release of the 47f, but as release dates came and went, I thought by chance or luck it would work out in my favour.

Will the CH-47 have the ability to 'capture bases' on release? 

I'm aware it will have cargo capabilities and will allow warehouse deliveries, etc - but just wondering if any of the cargo it delivers will have the ability to capture a base (such as unloading a Humvee, etc)?

Like you have a Red FARP or a White Farp and transport and internal Jeep, leave it there and capture the FARP? Good question!!!

I also wonder if we can make external cargo the Jeep? In the trailers we saw that it will be internal for sure.

The one in the trailer was driven in and out of the Chinook by a human player using Combined Arms. It's safe to assume this won't be an AI feature (at least I wouldn't expect it at EA release if I were you). Make sure to manage your expectations
