I expect it will be included with the first up-date.

They are still developing it.

This will be a fantastic mod once finished!

Always wanted one in sim.

Take a look at these for now. Saw a suggestion that it needs trimming for now. No idea if correct: "This plane definitely needs you to properly bind and tune axis and fly with a steady hand, you can't throw it around like you would the F-16. 1Bind the following axes• PITCH (DEADZONE AT 4, SATURATION X AT 100, SATURATION Y AT 100, CURVATURE AT 10)• ROLL (DEADZONE AT 4, SATURATION X AT 100, SATURATION Y AT 100, CURVATURE AT 10)• RUDDER (DEADZONE AT 0, SATURATION X AT 100, SATURATION Y AT 100, CURVATURE AT 10"

Anyone found the VR head position to be where the pilot's stomach would be? If I raise my head to match the headrest (which also seems massively huge along with the rest of the cockpit in VR) I'm staring straight at the canopy bow and can't use the reflector sight at all.

I have to put a LOT of down trim as on take off, it goes about 50-60 deg nose up, wallows and trim as I might, had to eject as it rolled, had the burners on too. 

So tried in the air start, deadzone 4, x & y about 15 curve, but still I can end up a flat spin very easily, and been trimming it nose down from the get go.....but I like the cockpit (prior to departure...) and it looks good.....before it goes into a rapid spin...... My hat off to test pilots in those days

I'm experimenting with "swapping" the FM data from another aircraft..ie the f-14...having some success

yes, there have been three patches already:

 

Patch Notes 29Jan23
EFM:
-    exaggerated pitch-up fixed -> flaps ½ will lead to slight pitch down on takeoff. Flaps up will have a pitch-up tendency when full fuel is loaded. Full flaps will deliver a good bit of pitch down.
-    exaggerated stall changed -> Plane will stall, but will enter a flat spin a lot later. Once in a flat spin, no chance of recovery. Spinning speed, when entering spin on alt. still to fast, but a minor problem, see above 😉
-    horizontal stabilizer authority reduced due to AoA -> stab will feel +5/-5 ° AoA more than real AoaA due to down-wash. Stab will be effective beyond stall, but not much, since effectivity decreases at high AoA (back stick at high AoA low effectivity, front-stick at high AoA full effectivity and vice versa)
Systems:
-    Trimm-Gauge implemented (left-front-panel)
-    Off/inactive signs added to standby and main horizon
-    Nozzle-gauges show right/right and left/left
-    “All” Stations for rockets do work, BUT all stations need to hold rockets. If a station does not hold rockets, ALL will probably not work. Select Station pairs in that instance.
-   Gun-Pod is not droppable anymore since it is way to expensive to just drop it somewhere 😉
-    Wing-Tanks and Center-Tank is droppable, but needs to be selected through Station-Selector
-    Faster movement of radar-carrot
Animation:
-    Burner Left/Left and Right/Right corrected
-    Nozzle Left/Left and Right/Right corrected
-    Seat-Hight adjusted
-    Mirrors adjusted (no more fisheye)

3d:
-    Suspension adjusted (a noob like me could make 3 landings (Forrestal/SC/Forrestal) in a row without braking the gear. If you can’t do it...well, practice makes perfect ;-))

Where can I download the latest version? Just tried to download from the R/Hoggit link shared above, but looks to be the same version I already downloaded on 23/01/2023?

Did that several times, but no Sidewinder sound. maybe i have to take a look at my sound settings.

 

Tried Sound setting .. will not hear them

I installed the VSN_F4 v2.8.1.01 standalone yesterday.

Installed the Patch and now sound is availible.. ... thank you very much.

 

If i use 2 times siderwinders outer wings and f.e. 2 Sparrows inner wings or whereever, i only can see the sidewinders from outside view, but the Sparrows are choose and useable.

This was also before i installed the patch just now

I still feel the cockpit scale is off. The ejection seat is massive, and the side panels are extremely wide. It's almost like a fisheye lens photography was used as reference to build the model. A couple weeks ago I sat in a scrapped F-4EJ cockpit and it was quite narrow and tight.

After applying the patch the seat hight is more higher i think, because in A/A Mode if have to go down on my seat at home (TrackIr) to see the whole reticle.

At A/G Mode you can setup the reticle depression with the knob in the cockpit

I guess the seat hight is not adjustable ?

Installed it today, very impressive Mod! But had the same feeling. In VR the dimensions seams not right. Very big seat and side panels but the front panel is quite small. No idea if that’s real or not, never sat in a F4. But again great Mod!
