Only the F-15E can be refunded if purchased from our own store.

The other modules continue to work in DCS.

thank you

Does this mean I can't install any Razbam modules I have purchased if I build a new PC or install a new OS?
You're licenses are fine and will work on any computer. New users are not able to purchase licenses.
Cheers!

from text from razbam it looks more like ed ofered to buy/get source code for razbam moduls. latter will not go for it.both r at dead end. if court ultimateli sides with one of parties, victims may demandhuge penalti and compensation for such period, which will lead other party to hug financial problems, if not to closure.i don't know what will happen in end, but i will definiteli not buy modules from third-party developers. just my opinion, im not konvincing anyone of anything.

No it is not.

We have to wait for the dispute to be resolved. We all hope for a positive outcome.

Hopefully RAZBAM will support their modules again, if not we have to see what the dispute resolution is and we will let you know when that happens.

ED should offer to buy the RAZBAM IP'S and be done with it. We get to keep the modules, ED can update them as needed, and Ron can subscribe to a few more OF accounts.

Win-win-win.

Sadly, Ron won't even do that.

To quote their Discord announcement:
"Only RAZBAM Simulations is able to properly support, update, and develop our products.
Our development pipeline, including all source code, has never been — and will never be — released to any distributor or third party.
This is by design, and it ensures we can protect the integrity of what we build and deliver the best experience possible to you."

Personally, this is another case of his ego being through the freaking roof. I know what I'm saying can come across as being a bit toxic... but in this case I think I'm justified as he's basically screwing the player base over, rather than taking steps to make sure these things work in the future. FFS, if he did decide to wash his hands of ED, and just sell them the soruce code for the modules in question, he'd actually be in a better position as he can tout being the 'bigger man' in the argument from then on. It'd also be a win for everyone as well:

  • ED gets the modules, and can both keep them going, and update them as needed. This is also a good job opportunity for some, since ED will need a few more people to keep these aircraft functioning, and to develop the features RB promised... but never delivered on.
  • The players now know the modules will work
  • Future endeavors can be taken to add additional versions of the aircraft in question. For example the AV-8B+ that has the Hornet Radar and Fox-3 capability, or the Mirage 2000D with the second seat.
  • Razbam has some good will, and a "path back to the platform"

But, it requires RZ to drop his ego, and sell the source code to ED.

Might be time to go Godfather on them and make them an offer they can't refuse 😛

If situation hasn't been solved in a year it won't be solved.

BB Razbam.

Wasn't a big fan of their development format but anyway. Maybe this precedent will change something

I know you want to stay positive, but I don't like this constant hopium. It's very misleading in my opinion. Nothing has happened in the last 12 months that benefitted customers (regarding this incident). It's time for some realism...

Note, there are two holes in your suggested scenario:

a) Why would Ron want to sell code, 3D model and whatever IP assets related to F-15E to ED if he can still re-use them partially for planned MSFS / "new" Microprose projects. They're still worth money even when/if his relationship with ED ends for good;

b) Without Galinette and M2M aboard nobody will develop these modules further anyway, no matter who owns the code in the end. And judging from their responses on other communication channels, they do not seem to be in hurry to become subcontractors directly for ED (nor do we know if ED would like to hire them at all).

It is not misleading, we do hope for a good outcome and that is what we are working towards. Legal issues do take time, no escaping that reality.

Like I said, any reasonable outcome would require RZ to drop the ego, which we already know he's never going to do. Not so long as he's got enough of a following that believe he can do no wrong.

I'm sure there's ways to make it move faster.... who's got access to a real F-15E and some duct-tape... I have an idea....

In other words, if you want any of the RB modules, and you have DCS on Steam.... it's now or (potentially) never. I have 3/4.

You don't have to run Steam DCS. You can just bind Steam account to your ED account for the Steam license transfer.

The procedure on Steam takes longer than in the ED store because it is an external company that has its own procedures.

From day one of this public dipute i thought there are just 2 options. The first one is a resolution where everything goes back as it was before the dispute and the second one will be no or a negative solution where we will loose all of the RB modules (sooner or later).
Because in my opinion this guy (RB prowler) with his hot headed ego would rather burn down everything than giving in and sell the source code of their modules to ED (which would be my favorite solution). Since yesterday i have the feeling that prowler just took a canister of gas and pulled out the lighter.

It's really sad. 4 or 5 weeks ago, when he said that he's got all his accounts back it sounded to me like they are about to find a good solution. Now i'm pretty concerned.
Yesterday i thought how can it be - shortly after this dispute went public a lot of people where asking how ED can continue to sale the modules while RB_prowler several times said that he asked ED to take them off from the store..... if that was true the modules should have disappeared already months ago. I can't stand this drama anymore.
Time to move on and concentrate on looking foreward to the A-10 pilot body 😉

As always a lot of conjecture and assumptions from people that know nothing about a case. Apparently you won't know the whole truth and you shouldn't make any conclusions from that. Both parties fight for their rights and want to play it their way. Nothing is over. Nothing has really changed. We're still waiting for the resolution.

The positive take that I think we have is NL stating that support will continue.

Sure, the unit's probably won't be enhanced, but at least they'll continue to work.  If you exclude the F15E, the other 3 seem to be in a pretty good condition (I fly all of them and don't have any issues with them).  That to me seems to guarantee ongoing usability, which is cool.

Yes, it would be nice for the F15E to finished, but that's something for further down the line.

Pretty much anything else seems to be purely speculation, so I'm staying out of that.

are these exclusive contracts between RAZABAM and Boeing and aircraft manufacturers?

Now that all RAZABAM products have been removed from the STORE, does ED have the right to develop F-15E and AV8 on their own?

Or should we still suffer for the products we purchased?
