You know, I just wonder...if someone were to post a poll whether or not Razbam should just try to come on back and try to mend fences or cut their losses completely. Id be incredibly interested in seeing the data from that.

@Hammer1-1 At this point in time, I would say that ED might cut Razbam loose and end the relationship. If the two companies can't solve the prolonged stalemate, then time to go their separate ways.

Cutting ties is exactly what will happen if the ridiculous dispute cannot be solved. However, in the meantime, I think it is uncontroversial to assume there is almost nobody on Earth who would prefer that to occur over a resumption of updates to existing titles.

That is a very biased way to frame things, where it is assumed that ED is completely in the right, and it is purely in the court of Razbam to solve things. We lack a lot of relevant information to judge things for ourselves, so putting the sole blame on any party cannot be more than prejudice, mixed with at best a few scattered facts.

This is not possible with Ron in charge, he already made that clear. What might happen is RAZBAM gets cut loose, and a new dev has to remake their modules from scratch. Best we could hope for is BD agreeing to lend a hand with mission design. If we want to keep the modules, RAZBAM has to stick around.

That is what Ron said, claiming that keeping Razbam willing and engaged was the only way to keep these modules was the smart bargaining position, but it's a statement easily walked back - if Razbam leave DCS these modules would be useless assets to them, far smarter to sell - if I was being cynical I might even suggest it could be positioned as something they're doing for customers' benefit.

I'm just shooting my mouth off here, if Razbam leave and take their modules with them feel free to quote this back at me and I'll gladly eat humble pie.

I don't get it. When did a poll ever solve or change something? Let's say I have a rabbit in my hand, and I let my audience vote if it was male of female. The poll shows 98% think it is a female rabbit. Does that change the facts? No, it only keeps the audience busy doing BS stuff like polls.

We don't need polls. We need the people who are in responsible positions act - and act responsibly, maybe even in favour of their customers.

You're forgetting one thing: it's Ron Zambrano we're talking about. I can see him never selling the modules purely out of spite. If it wasn't for his ego (and him thinking rules didn't apply to him), we wouldn't be in this fix in first place.

I’m going on the same observations you are and coming up with something a little different: I see someone who does what he thinks is best for himself in the short term, that’s why I can’t see him choosing no money over some money just because he said otherwise.

 The other commenters do have a point though: Neither of us know him, so I guess we’ll both have to wait and see.

I never asked to solve a problem, Im merely interested in the data.

Shouldnt really matter; opinions are formed, its been over a year+ now, and its not looking...too great so to speak. After a certain amount of time, someone should just ask "why bother" when the damage is already done?

After almost 20 years of watching his actions in forums, discord and discussions everywhere else under the sun, you can pretty much characterize who people really are just by what they say and do online. Zambrano has never made himself out to be a particularly pleasant person as plenty of people here can attest to.

Nah, not at all, it's more like they know his Modus Operendi, Ron has done this on more than one occasion spanning several decades, track records speak volumes. 

Some of us have been flight simming a lot longer than some people posting here have been alive... Razbam are the epotome of "The road to hell is paved with good intentions"
