The Kola map on Steam is only 12% off, not 30%.  I thought maybe it was just different because it's Steam, but all the other discounts in the original post are showing as they should in Steam, just not Kola.

Forgot to add that. I feel like I might have missed some others as well...AV-8B, it became operation before somewhere around the very late 80s I think.

 

We need one more at the very least to fit the late 70s and 80s cold war era, fitting perfectly with the current cold war timeline era. If only RAZBAM continued, we'd have that covered with the Mig 23 other than the upcoming Mig 29. But, oh well...loosing the Mig 23 was very big loss. It would have fit in so perfectly. But alas...

Yes, original analog pre-LASTE Cold War / Desert Storm A-10A has been requested many times. It would be one of the most iconic aircraft over divided Germany map.

But surely would love to see other peak cold war jets which can be done and there are no secrecy excuse, and that is for the Mig 23 (RAZBAM debacle killed this which is just sad), Mig 27 and the Su-7/17/22 series. Wish we could get the early versions of the Su-27 or the Su-30, yes, I guess Su-30 and 27 is just asking too much. I am not sure on Su-30 as that became operational only after 1991.

 

Then the other blueforce jets of cold war era faction which can be done is, the Hawker Hunter, Jaguar and EE Lightning.

 

We already have a lot of blue force cold war era peak, Mirage F1, F-4, F-5, F-14, A-10 and the upcoming F-104, A-7, F-8, G-91 etc...a lot!!

For the reds we got the Mig 21, Mig 15, then the possibly unsupported Mig 19 and the upcoming Mig 29. Just this, and for me, it is not complete without the opposing side modules as well with this laughably small collection. I am not counting the non FF modules.

 

On a side note, how many red force campaigns do we have that have the immersive flight plan briefing like the blue force? 

I Would at least have updated AI modeles for the 23, and 25, and the Su22, as of now I don't use any of them in my missions, as they look so bad compared to the rest of the game, so poor 21 has to do everything until the mid 80s when the 29 started to show up in meaningful numbers. But really that job should be the 23's

When I was serving in West Germany with the BAOR, A-10's would make practice attack runs over our Chieftain MkV's on a regular basis... I'll never forget the noise they made!

Yeah, that is what I have been parroting about too...

 

Updated current AI models if they cannot even bother to do those cold war era retired red modules. We still have GIMP/PAINT Ai models that just completely kills the immersion feel, and it has been a very long time...

 

I guess we can expect them to be updated in the year 2030 and above...

There was a mistake during the last sale, this time there is no mistake. In the official store there is shown a base discount of 20% because the map is still in early access. On Steam, this discount is already applied and only the new price is shown. Now you have additional 10% off during the sale on the official store, while there is even a 12% off on Steam which - in fact - makes the Steam version cheaper (depending on your regional price). For me in Germany, the Kola map is 45€ on Steam and 49$ here (which roughly translates to 50€ due to poor conversion rates).

What confuses me more is that some modules are not on sale at all on Steam while being on sale here, e.g. the F/A-18C Arctic Thunder campaign.

I grew up about 20 km east of the Nörvenich airbase, will never forget the howl of the F-104G Starfighters flying quite low above our house. Unfortunately, this part will not be included in phase 1 I guess.

I would think (hope!) that it should be included in phase 3, an important base during the target period that this map is aimed at.

Relying on rendered shadows is inadequate in DCS.
