Teapot Posted June 23, 2012 Posted June 23, 2012 (edited) Don't you think Timmy is more maneuverable than P-51. :D Need some cannons though.. Oh I think Timmy's got a cannon orrrright, prolly just cold ... but please be mindful that this is a family show.:chair: Edited June 23, 2012 by Teapot "A true 'sandbox flight sim' requires hi-fidelity flyable non-combat utility/support aircraft." Buckram Posted June 27, 2012 Posted June 27, 2012 (edited) Still looking at a June 2012 Pre-Purchase? I know I'm not the only one who's thinking this, but are ED still standing by the release of a pre-purchase beta by the end of June? I know ED will not release something before its ready, I am just interested to see what happens with the end of June approaching... Looking forward to it :) Edited June 27, 2012 by Buckram Achieving World Peace - One 2000lb JDAM at a time. 159th_Viper Posted June 27, 2012 Posted June 27, 2012 As was stated a couple of days ago, still hoping for End-June release. ED Team Wags Posted June 27, 2012 ED Team Posted June 27, 2012 While still possible, I would doubt it at this point. There are still some significant bugs to resolve that are taking far longer to fix than we expected when the press release was made. As always, release dates are always a best estimate, and sometimes factors like testing do not cooperate. Absolutely agree! No use rushing things, if the only result is frustration. Let the majors do that for x-mas sales, if they need to. :D Or one of my favorite quotes: "Patience, young Padawan!" Ripcord Posted June 27, 2012 Posted June 27, 2012 Hmmm, yeah I had a few days off too. Damn. Oh well, wouldn't have been a lot of fun with 'significant bugs' so it will wait. Guess I'll have to go finish cleaning up that garage afterall. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

chromium Posted June 28, 2012 Posted June 28, 2012 I believe it's better to wait some more weeks and solve significant and/or stability bug, but we should expect to find other bugs also, maybe less critical, as always it is when something new it's released (not by ED but for any software house). The truth is in the Sobek sign: we want good and cheap products, so it can't be a fast delivery (and please don't tell me that 40 $ it's not cheap to play a multi-year lasting study sim when you could pay 70 € for "Mass effect" on X-Box and play 10 hours or so to complete the story ;) ). Author of DSMC, mod to enable scenario persistency and save updated miz file Stable version & site: https://dsmcfordcs.wordpress.com/ Openbeta: https://github.com/Chromium18/DSMC The thing is, helicopters are different from planes. An airplane by it's nature wants to fly, and if not interfered with too strongly by unusual events or by a deliberately incompetent pilot, it will fly. A helicopter does not want to fly. It is maintained in the air by a variety of forces in opposition to each other, and if there is any disturbance in this delicate balance the helicopter stops flying; immediately and disastrously.

Erforce Posted June 28, 2012 Posted June 28, 2012 agreed with chromium. 40$ is reasonable imo. imagine if they sold BS1 @ 70$ then asked 20$ for upgrading to BS2. there would be way more rage posts. But ED seems to come slowly to DLCs, and... well i'm not supporting this thing either resulting in a unfinished game.
