Trust me I tried, port forward, dmz, nothing actually helped, crashed 6 times back to desktop within 20 minutes. That is just awful, MP is unplayable right now… I tough I purchased a beta, not an alpha release... I think it's only an issue with lots of people and units, for small groups its pretty solid. Really? I just played on the 104th server, good mission by the way, but my presence 13 out, It crashed so often then I gave up. I usually only play with a buddy of mine online, at the most we have three players total, it crashed often even then, nothing complex was going on mission wise either, just simple stuff. I think the crashes are worse than you let on I am afraid.

After we switched EVERYONE to LAN network setting warping ended, but some clients crashed occasionally. And the host had 60fps, and 100/100mbit fibre connection with very low latency. The disconnects have NOTHING to do with available bandwidth. Since ED postponed 1.2.3 for over 3 (4) weeks. They obviously discovered some serious issues in the core if DCS.
