Let us say that it is, in fact, going to be the Hornet, how much effort can we realistically expect from ED in terms of changes to the Nimitz class carrier model, deck crew and vehicles, animations such as elevators, catapults, and arrestor cables, effects, and systems?

Nice plane on that gun...

I'm guessing Hornet first, Naval ops later.

Ahhhh the ambiguity is killing me!

Oh well, at least we know for certain we're getting a Hornet sooner or later!

It could make a lot of sense to introduce the necessary features related to carrier ops not too long after the airplane itself since the F/A-18C will only be the first in the line of carrier-based aircraft. This is what I wish for, because it will most certainly be awesome to play. On the other hand they probably have a lot of time until the other navy aircraft are finished.

Rossi is probably right...

Is it not possible they have made a lot of effort already on these items? We don't have visibility to whats going on in the background and these items could already be at a certain maturity level. Just saying...:)

Maybe something of it is already there. Maybe we can find out something from the carrier 3d model...?

Agreed.

I imagine Matt Wagner and the staff from ED who visit ther forums sometimes must be laughing real hard reading through all this speculation, wishing, discussing...

I do not know why a section dedicated to bookmakers hasn't been created yet. It definitely has its place on this website/forum :)
