Mustang Posted October 2, 2013 Posted October 2, 2013 Not everyone is getting a CTD, so we need to figure out why you are getting a CTD.... Exactly, it's a struggle for testers when they don't get the crashes some of you guys are having here on the forums, sometimes it has to be something wrong with the PC running it, it's just figuring out what
Pepec9124 Posted October 2, 2013 Posted October 2, 2013 PAC switch is ON in my A10A post update ... no input files changed or anything. Tested in Instant action mission funny... I just tried making quick A-10A mission with aircraft on runway start... and PAC switch is in ON position. I haven't checked other switches as I am not good in A-10A. Wonder if this could be old mission that needs to be re-saved in new version or something similar. I'm going to do full wipe of DCS. Why can't it just work...
ED Team NineLine Posted October 2, 2013 ED Team Posted October 2, 2013 Guys, if you are having crashes still, it will be in your best interest to start your own thread in the crash forum, at this point it just seems like a few of you, it will be better to try and help with your problems if we can work with you one on one... we can also show the devs if there are large numbers of people crashing... help us help you... Davis0079 Posted October 2, 2013 Posted October 2, 2013 Still broke for win7 32bit....on to other stuff so. I cant swear to it but.......DCS no longer supports 32bit.....you may have quite a long wait if your hoping to read any 32bit updates....once again I havent been reading the forums about 32bit problems, so if the devs told you to hold your breath, maybe you should ('nt)... It only takes two things to fly, Airspeed and Money.

SkateZilla Posted October 2, 2013 Posted October 2, 2013 (edited) BF4 went 64bit as well as should everyone else. don't be a penny pincher upgrade.:music_whistling: BF4 Still supports 32-Bit, they are simply limiting beta testing to 64-Bit, and it's a Bugfest. Compared to GTAOnline and BF4, DCS is in Goodshape, lol And Upgrading from 32-Bit to 64-Bit is Free, Most of the license keys are for both 32- and 64bit. Just have to Download the 64-Bit install Media from Microsoft, Make a USB Stick, and Install, using the same License Key. ENO Posted October 2, 2013 Posted October 2, 2013 Keep in mind a lot of people don't restart after an update and in the past its been known to help. Also missions need to be resaved in the ME on the server / host computer. These two things help with many crash types. And about the 32bit- the only thing they haven't fixed is complete removal of support and adjusted the minimums to 64bit OS and 6gigs of RAM. A couple of days ago I was having problems connecting to the master server. I tried a lot of the suggestions from some of the post on these forums. I re-installed 1.2.6 completely and my anti-virus software and still had connection issues. I just decided to look into doing some cleanup on my end by removing spyware programs and uninstalling programs I was not aware of (dont ask me how they got there...:)) Anyway after the cleanup I was able to connect to the master server and got a bit better performance in my OS and games. Bottom line here is to do as much as you can on your side with your PC before jumping the gun and bashing the software itself. :pilotfly: 1 Intel i5-9600K @ 3.7GHz Gigabyte Z370XP SLI Mobo G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 32GB (2 x 16GB) 288-Pin DDR4 GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 2070 8GB 256-Bit GDDR6(Assume the latest driver version) Thermaltake Water 3.0 Certified Liquid Cooling System Windows 10 Professional Oculus Rift-S /TrackIR 5 in case VR dies Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog w/ Thrustmaster T-Flight Rudder Pedals

HiJack Posted October 2, 2013 Posted October 2, 2013 The switch for PAC is in the "ON" position but can't say it works. Anyone else got PAC to work? msalama Posted October 2, 2013 Posted October 2, 2013 ...to test it right now would be very welcome. Just hosted an online session, 2+ hours of trouble-free flying  Although it has to be said that there were only 2 participants altogether, i.e. me and a squad mate running some Mustang and Huey training missions. But ground units aplenty still, so it wasn't as if the map was barren or anything. And oh yeah, seems more fluid somehow too, no stuttering at all that I noticed. Looks a winner to me  The DCS Mi-8MTV2. The best aviational BBW experience you could ever dream of.
