  2. Hi, Have you clicked the history button? There is a history button on the mission planning screen that allows modern or no historical period. Try that.
  3. Agreeed, I'd like a 2 or 3 way swich NATO only Russian only and if these aren't going to be too crowded to be readable NATO (Russian) Russian (NATO)
  4. Kamikaze drone is such a dumb word for guided missile
  5. Probably possible for dev to tune something in Hind? I mean: 1. Stabilizator in min position (because stabilizator AOA=main rotor AOA, that is in min position when cold) 2. To have option with cargo door opened in cold start position 3. To correct sync main rotor blades position and AOA with tail rotor blades position and AOA 4. To set front blade in 1 o`clock position before start (because it seems their right start position) 5. Grren circles are 3d model inaccuracies. 6. To add better sound for CPG` control activator (red lever at collective) It have usual button sound. Thank you. link with picture
  6. A great tuch for road runways
  7. This would be cool to add.
  8. No I believe it's just like in the MiG-21 NDB's are selected using the bottom part of the navigation panel on the right depending what navigation number they have been assigned to. You rotate the nob to the correct number, and make sure the switch is set from RSBN to ADF. Use just use the comms pannel on the left set to ADF to tune into the correct comms channel to hear the morse code, to confirm the it's the correct NDB the ADF is listening to. I believe the beacon buttons are just a quick way to select specific programed channels without have to select them using the navigation nob.

  10. What does ADF stand for ? What is the long word.
  11. He did also mention that can use any of the airfield points, as extra way points (you don't have to put them on airfields) You will just have to switch still to the AB position to use those way points.
  12. The OP of this issue isn’t using VR so this isn’t really relevant. IMHO (while things are good for you) I wouldn’t recommend that.
  13. If they ever do a complete new MiG-21 v2.0, I would expect nothing less than a full integration of the native DCS maps RSBN/PRMG/NDB system.

  15. PLEASE CAN ANYBODY HELP HOW TO INSTALL B21 OR B2 BOMBER FROM CURRENT HILL I ALREAYD INSTALL FOLDER BUT ITS NOT APPREARING IN MISSION EDITOR
  16. @sushy73 all the link you published above are shown as "not available". I suggest to not share links to Discord, but use any other image hosting instead.
  17. I was curious about this too when considering a stick upgrade. I think very few flight sims today have native support. It looks like that’s all generated by the stick software. But yeah native to the game would probably result in better quality. I see DCS is a mixed bag depending on the module.
  18. I noticed that the red and green navigation lights above the cabin stay dimmed no matter what the dim/bright switch position is.
  19. ...and the ability to open/close the right hand cabin door/window and left hand cabin window.
  20. Yes, now it seems correct in terms of limits I could only reach the values in the image with a clean jet (MiG-31K) and running out of fuel, but that was the max i got Also, the weird noise in the afterburner sound seems to be gone
  21. I wasn't saying it was easy nor quick, but it would be great to have it supported out of the box. I'm also familiar with the fact that this is one of the oldest 3rd party modules, so it's definitely not a 5-min fix. All we can ask is that this gets included in the plans, nothing more. And if they say no, that's fine as well.
  22. Magnitude 3 would need to update the module to adopt the native DCS RSBN/PRMG system. This means a rework of the avionics code to retrieve data from map_beacons.lua rather than relying on internal Lua files. Maybe not so easy but necessary in the long run.
  23. I do (as there is no other option due to this bug) but that is irrelevant. The aircraft should be able to taxi in a crosswind. That's the whole point of this thread.

  26. That's the case in the cockpit - but the missile tracks continuously once fired. And given that the Shrike doesn't feature target memory and that once radars go off the air the Shrike stops tracking and it doesn't resume tracking even if the radar resumes transmitting moments later, this behaviour is inconsistent. On the one hand some argue that the Shrike cannot detect sidelobes but don't give a reason for it. On the other hand the Shrike has a guidance section exclusively for a radar that rotates, a radar whose mainlobe is only 4.5° wide, with a period of 5 seconds (meaning that the Shrike is only illuminated by the mainlobe for just 0.0625 seconds for each revolution of the radar, with then a 4.9375 second interruption). In cockpit, against the P-19, the tone from the cockpit is mostly continuous so long as it's close to the boresight with interruptions being few and far between and decrease in frequency and duration as the aircraft closes the distance - which inconsistent with #1 but is consistent with thew Shrike being able to detect other lobes so long as they're powerful enough. The interruptions decreasing frequency and duration also makes sense as distance closes, as more sidelobes (and even backlobes) become detectable. Once fired, the Shrike appears to track continuously. When fired against a radar that goes off the air after a short duration, the Shrike can be seen to lose tracking - the control surfaces neutralise and the Shrike is unguided flight. Once the radar resumes transmitting however, the Shrike resumes guided flight (though in my track, it still missed, probably due to, at least in part, me not giving it enough of a dive angle). These points are contradictory - if #1 is true, why does the Shrike track the radar continuously and why is there a near constant tone in the cockpit, when this radar is only presenting a mainlobe for 0.0625 seconds out of every 5? If anything the tone from the cockpit would be reversed. AGM-45_P-19_brief_offtheair.trk AGM-45_P-19.trk
  27. In the latest MiG-29 Navigation video the mobile PRMG/RSBN beacon was demonstrated in a form of a RSBN-car (timestamped video) Would you be so kind to support this in the MiG-21 as well? That way the community won't have to do all sort of manual fixes to get the RSBN working on all maps.
