DCS Update Development Progress In the most recent update to DCS Core, the “improved spotting dots” option has been replaced by a new Spotting Dots setting. This feature can be toggled Off or set to Auto, 1 Pixel, or 2 Pixels, and it can also be enforced through the Mission Editor. When peripheral VR quad views are active, the spotting dot size will default to 1 pixel. Mission Editor functionality has been expanded. New triggers allow for toggling individual drawings on or off. Unloading multiple cargo items at once is now supported, and an error causing the display of non-cargo objects in the radio menu has been corrected. Issues related to multi-selection tools, rotating units, and loading templates have also been resolved. For the full list of changes, please read the full changelog. The DCS: F-16C Viper has received noteworthy improvements to its heads-up display (HUD), flight model, and radar behavior. The HUD’s Limited Refresh Rate now updates airspeed, altitude, and acceleration at fixed intervals, making fast-changing parameters correctly skip values. Based on user feedback, corrections to excessive energy loss at higher angles of attack and slower speeds have been introduced, with further work planned for high-speed regimes. Deep stall issues have been addressed, along with yaw behavior during roll inputs in landing configurations. Various radar bugs have been fixed, including trackfile behavior in STT, TWS altitude rounding discrepancies, and lock range in ACM Bore mode. External fuel transfer now functions even if AIR SOURCE is set to RAM, and a flicker in the CCIP aiming marks has been eliminated. The developers have also released a revised Early Access Guide with new chapters on navigation and tactical employment, plus updates to the radio communications and datalink sections. The DCS: F/A-18C benefits from fixes to weapons avionics crashes, the addition of gray-scale (will still appear green despite name) ground radar maps, and resolution of several texture and INS configuration errors. The DCS: AH-64D has undergone a range of flight model improvements to make yaw control less sensitive, adjust rotor thrust at low speeds, and refine the vortex-ring state (VRS) condition that is accompanied by new visual and audio warnings. Minor rotor cone animation issues have been addressed, SCAS drift during hover has been corrected, and the interface for George AI has been enhanced to assist color-blind players. Multiple small bugs, including incorrect TADS camera clipping and error messages for en-route distances, have also been fixed. The DCS: CH-47F has seen a range of additions: new trimmer options, windshield wipers, corrected LCT schedule, and improved Cyclic Stick position for air start. The crew animation speed has been raised when switching seats, and numerous fixes address engine repairs, IR strobe patterns, and ramp visualization. The DCS: Supercarrier update addresses several issues with AI taxiing, deck crew animations, and spawn logic. Directors should no longer repeat “stop” gestures excessively, and wheel chocks function correctly after teleporting to the hangar. Catapult launching logic has also been improved. Despite these updates, a known issue persists regarding the “disable deck crew” option not functioning properly unless it is set beforehand in the general settings. The newly remastered DCS: F-5E includes cockpit shake and vibration animations, wingtip oscillation at high AOA, and updated LERX vapor effects. RWR dimmer controls, service hatch panels, parking lot static aircraft placements, and theme loading pictures have all been adjusted. Based on user feedback, the difference in energy loss in the FM and E-M diagrams of instantaneous turn rates was noted. On the left edge (high angles of attack AoA >15 and low speeds below M<0.7), excessive energy loss (airspeed loss) was confirmed. On the right edge of the E-M diagram (M>0.7 and angles of attack AoA<15), there was noticeably insufficient energy loss. The characteristic of the increase in the thrust of the main rotor has been refined in the speed range of 0-10 m/s (the helicopter's behavior at the moment of nose tilt to accelerate and when hovering after deceleration will become more realistic). Improvement. There was overly sensitive yaw control. The sensitivity of the control in the heading channel has been significantly reduced. Now the increase in angular velocity with a 1-inch pedal movement has been reduced by about 25%, which is beneficial for improving the comfort of control. Improvement. The efficiency of the SCAS response has been increased when controlling the pilot and in the ATT-Hold (Position, Velocity, Attitude) mode family: When controlling the pilot the SCAS "blurs" the increase in angular velocity from the cyclic stick and pedals, thereby giving the pilot a little more time for piloting accuracy, which increases piloting comfort; In the ATT-Hold mode family the SCAS reacts more sensitively to changes, trying to compensate for the deviation from the specified mode/parameter in the "bud". Sharpe will never be happy as long as it does not let him give an advantage over others that they can't control. Every time he has flipped on this issue, it can be traced back to him realising that what he just asked for does the opposite of what he wants by giving others the same advantage he has, or by removing his advantage over them. He then pivots to some new fundamental misunderstanding of how the game or computer graphics in general work in the hope that this will give him an advantage instead. Personally, my preference is for there to be no setting at all. It's a core part of the simulation. You shouldn't be able to turn that off, same as how you can't turn off drag or gravity. It's the same level of integral part of what is going on in the air. The end goal here is a full-spectrum simulation of pilot's vision, with all this entails in terms of offering whatever cues and shortcuts elementary 3D graphics can't provide on its own. This means dots, scaling, forced fading, over- and undersaturation of colours, and any of the myriad of things that will help convey the cognitive process of perception as opposed to inherently incorrect naive maths. It's called contrast. Another basic part of graphics you will no doubt fail to grasp because of how very simple it is to understand and somehow try to make the foundational part of yet more accusations of exploitation. There is no exploit. Give it a rest. There is only you remaining wilfully ignorant about how computer graphics work. Just because you don't get the advantage you want, doesn't mean others are exploiting. Especially not when your own “evidence” shows that things have improved massively over your old preferred state where you — and not necessarily others — could trivially see targets at 40nm. That was an exploit. And you exploited it gleefully and to the fullest. And stop playing in portrait mode.6 points

спасибо за доброе слово) ,передам участникам)) насчет ATT-H, когда после движения РППУ условия активации режима перестают действовать, а режим все равно активируется, и при том РППУ смещена от пружинного центра - тогда баг.. Но лучше дать трек, чтобы разобраться детально. А вообще там (в SCAS) есть еще мелкие "косячки" в режимах, это еще делаем.4 points

Most importantly this update brings significant improvements to the AWG-9 TWS combining and splitting, especially with an airborne Phoenix underway. This should yield far more effective employment of the AIM-54 and radar in high threat density environments or where a Phoenix would otherwise fail when tracks would drop or diverge. Attached are some images of the before and after state of such scenarios and how the AWG-9 previously could incorrectly extrapolate tracks when splitting or combining tracks, leading to trashed Phoenixes. This is an unfortunate but common ongoing issue that happens every couple of updates to any module using fancy features (code-wise), such as for example also some Razbam modules for years already. Generally, the best solution is to whitelist the DCS folder in your Antivirus software and then restore the quarantined files (DCS repair will do the trick). This will also boost performance a bit. If you search through the forum and Discords you will find it mentioned every couple of months. Sadly there is no good way for us to fix this from our side. The global AV database whitelisting processes are tedious and slow. It usually takes them until about 2 weeks after the update to accept and ship the DB updates and stop flagging it - until it happens again with the next update when the DLL changed slightly again.3 points

Landing does actually work for player aircraft, and ai, well sort of. I've just not sorted out all the taxi/parking stuff. A recent update seems to have disabled the carrier plug in for the Model Viewer. And doing taxi routes without that is a pain. Hopefully the plug in will be fixed soon. But like I said this is a very early access version. I'm just glad it's loading at all for some. Thank you all for the feed back and I'll be on the look out for stray pixels in the clouds3 points

@Katsu gave me energy not to gave up of this Phoenix bastard and I will not. I made few programs recently and one I would like to share here, it really, like I used to say, plasticity shows what is behind of this awkward motor @Маэстро @Chizh I’m sure you guys have force to intervene, to influence, to change it, to make all those guys complaining to be satisfied. Or simply to change injustice done to Phoenix motor which is momentarily ruined…strange of someone who fancy “red” side propulsion concepts to be so persistent for improvement of “blue” side motor, but simply it deserves that because of its unique design, it is really one of kind. Recently I spoke with one engineer who worked in Rocketdyne decades ago, not exactly on this motor but he knew the guy who was I believe creator of this specific and unique design. And Phoenix motor was indeed conceptually with two slots in grain and it was so much regressive because of mission needs like he said. I was thinking and trying to understand this last, what exactly that could be. … This is just simple Excel program, customized for Phoenix, while motor works and for vertical plane displacement only because changing of altitude (ambient pressure) is the most important for figuring out how this motor worked. Initial velocity, altitude and pitch is of course open to change and then with applying overload missile can be directed in trajectory as per will. Angle of attack is respectively calculated, and for anybody playing with this, don’t push it to hard, otherwise missile’s nose could flip over, 15 degrees should be enough. Max altitude and max velocity is just because of in program inserted database. But what just poke eyes is linearity of specific impulse when missile is pushed in loft. No matter of regressive thrust and regressive mass flow, with lofting specific impulse values (exhaust velocity respectively) becoming linearly constant. I even believe this could be used for determining how loft trajectory is actually programmed with Phoenix, depending of launch altitude loft could be such to keep specific impulse constant from some reason necessary for mathematical model of inertial navigation. Not sure in that, but fact is that with majority of applied lofts with regular overloads, specific impulse has tendency of linearity and constant value. I know your models are with linear constant thrust only, but even with using such average values depending of altitude, divided in few groups of altitudes, model would be significantly improved. Phoenix deserves it, concept was indeed interesting, in theory it worked well, in practice engineers have been faced with many technological problems. Unique motor in any case, different to all other tactical motors of that time, and before and after, so it would be nice to give respect placing it on right place3 points

hey, just tried the Ford with CJS Super Hornet out of Kola, and was not able to trap after 4 atemps . But will be a good mod indeed. By the way, I see some pixels up in some clouds when using VR . Clicked on VR in the settings menu and still the same, although everything is a lot more clear, Im using Quest Pro. Any clue ?3 points

Помимо ручного выбора игроком, эти опции могут быть принудительно установлены авторами миссий. Для устройств VR, работающих в режиме “Quad View” размер точек соответствует 1 пикселю. Триггерная система расширена командой на включение и выключение графических материалов на экране. Стала доступной разгрузка нескольких грузов за один клик, исправлена ошибка в радиоменю, связанная с невыгружаемыми объектами. Уточнена и исправлена работа инструмента множественного выбора объектов в редакторе. Об этих и других изменения, доступных в обновлении, вы можете прочитать в полном перечне изменений. Заметные уточнения получил модуль DCS: F-16C Viper по части работы индикатора на лобовом стекле, радара, а также в летной динамике. Частота обновления информации на лобовом стекле относительно невелика, происходит с определенной периодичностью и принципиально не может обновляться моментально. ИЛС не всегда успевает отображать стремительно меняющуюся индикацию из-за невысокого фреймрейта. Основываясь на экспертных отзывах мы уменьшили энергетические потери на больших углах атаки и предельно малых скоростях. Запланирована дальнейшая работа по уточнению этих параметров на больших скоростях полёта. Исправлены отдельные неточности поведения в условиях сваливания, а также устранена избыточная реакция по рысканию при кренах в посадочной конфигурации. Исправлены некоторые моменты в работе радара, включая отображение треков в режимах STT, неточности в округлении данных о высоте в TWS, а также дальность захвата радара в ACM. Исправлена ошибка, когда перекачка топлива не работала, если заслонка AIR SOURCE стояла в положении RAM, устранено мерцание прицельной марки CCIP. Помимо этого, разработчики обновили руководство пилота Раннего доступа, в котором расширены разделы навигации и тактического применения истребителя. Дополнены разделы радиокоммуникации и даталинка. В модуле DCS: F/A-18C устранены отмеченные в некоторых ситуациях крэши при работе авионики. На радиолокационных картах появилась шкала “gray-scale” (“градаций серого”, хотя фактически изображение скорее “зеленоватое”, чем серое). Устранены ошибки конфигурирования ИНС. Проведены и другие улучшения, в том числе исправлены “подрезка” изображения с камеры TADS и сообщения об ошибках дистанции при следовании по маршруту. В модуле DCS: CH-47F: появились новые опции триммирования, стеклоочистители, уточнены параметры продольного триммирования вертолёта (LCT) и начальное положение РППУ при воздушном старте. Переключение между креслами членов экипажа теперь происходит быстрее. Исправлен ряд проблемы с двигателями, ИК стробоскопами и визуализация рампы. DCS: Supercarrier получил исправления в работе регулировщиков, анимациях персонала и в логике респаунов. Регулировщики теперь не столь настойчивы в демонстрации сигналов “Стоп”, а установка колодок при телепортации в ангар происходит корректно. Улучшены стартовые процедуры при запуске с катапульты. Нестабильность работы опции “Отключить палубную команду” будет исправлена в последующих патчах. Модуль DCS: F-5E Remastered получил дополнительные улучшения в части имитации тряски и вибраций на некоторых режимах, в том числе добавлены колебания законцовок крыла при срыве потока на больших углах атаки и вихреобразование в районе носков крыла. Let's be happy that it will even be in version A. It has been repeated many times that ED will not deal with Russian aircraft from the 4th generation beyond what came out / FC (due to the restrictions they have). So we have an extra gift. There is no point in complaining, so the answer is very simple. We also have a chance for MiG-23 from ED, but it's 3rd generation. Nothing else (newer) has come out yet and there's no point in counting on it. Maybe some 3rd party will do something someday, but for now there's nothing on this subject.3 points

А для организованно побегать в шутер (чтобы это было интересной целью для авиации, мы ж про нее тут, в конце-концов) - стало быть командный состав появится сразу)) И организует процесс чтобы было интересно, а не простой deathmatch... Да и виртуальной пехоты нужно несоизмеримо больше чем вирт пилотов. Организовывать все это силами живых игроков - кмк утопия. Одна надежда на развитие ИИ и динкампании на его основе. Это хоть более реально. Заодно и штабную работу ИИ отдать.3 points

My first serious DCS Modding Project - The Polish Modernised MiG-29AM. It consists of: - Additional Radio, MFD and UFC in cockpit - Changed canopy antenna - New IFF antennas on the nose and strobe lights - English cockpit with custom WZL2 Ekran. (all of that is based on declassified info and photos) - Remove Before Flight models Models in cockpit have some functionality. I'm working on improving them add adding new ones. This version: - has a mission flightplan displayed on the MFD as well as a line to starting waypoint/airfield - the MFD scale/zoom can be changed with two buttons - two most upper buttons on UFC change the active WPT/airfield More features like airfields on mfd and possibly standalone integration with RedK0d's FC3 clickable mod coming in further versions. DCS has given helicopter pilots, in particular, a lot of joy with new models like the CHINOOK, more details at ground level, and a flyable Apache. It will probably be 2028 before we have explored all the new maps in the helicopter at low altitudes. In 2025, many new modules and maps will surprise and keep us entertained. ***I wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Вообще шикарная логика, деньги платишь ЕД, а вопросы к третьим лицам, которые работают по договору с ЕД. Получателем денег если посмотреть банковскую выписку после совершения покупки будет как раз не сёрд парти, а ЕД. Покупка в МАГАЗИНЕ ЕД это договор оферты между ЕД (продавец) и покупателем. То, что, говорит Чиж: "Мол это вина сёрдов и магазин не причем", простая отговорка. Другое дело, что покупая модули сёрдов через магазин ЕД, последние перед покупкой пользовательским соглашением, снимают с себя ответственность. И тут либо ты соглашаешься на условия и покупаешь либо не покупаешь. Магазин тут причём, хотябы потому, что если магазин был в курсе проблем (а как я понял с разбам проблемы начались задолго до остановки поддержки), то могли бы пользователей и проинформировать. И многие сэкономили бы деньги. РБ взяли на себя обязательства и обязаны их выполнять, где искать деньги это не забота сообщества и покупателей, а руководства компании. Если тебе не платят зачем выпускать продукт? Раз выпустил продукт и продал его тем более взяв обязательства в его доработке после продажи, то изволь выполнять. Даже если придётся работать бесплатно. К ЕД претензия, магазин зная о проблемах со своим контрактным исполнителем, обязан был проинформировать перед покупкой о возможных проблемах. Но все сидели на попе ровно и ждали денег. Ущерб репутации тут и для РБ и для ЕД.2 points
