  1. Apologies for the lack of updates here. The project is still alive, although work has slowed due to the real world unfortunately getting in the way. Modelling work is basically complete, we are looking for someone to join the team to help out with finessing the unwrap and doing the texture work. I’ll dump some more of the images that have been shared on our discord.

  2. Ну на ИП всегда не надо смотреть . Глянул раз , да и все . Плюс Экран подскажет если что . Палетка на правом борту имеет две страницы, там написаны все данные и понастройкам РТС , но туда никто не смотрит. Инженерам и техникам я конечно доверяю , но свой НПЛ надежнее, там все мозги )) Каналы радиосвязи в ВВС все стандартные. 1 - общий / перелетный . 4 - радиопеленгатор 7 - рабочий РП, РБЗ, РЗП, Ближняя зона. Он ВСЕГДА предустановлен на пульте по умолчанию как основной !!! 8-12 - каналы наведения / дальняя зона и свободные аэродромные каналы ( полигон маловысотная зона и тд ) 20- гражданский международный 121,5 (аварийный) 21 - аварийный через АРК Остальные- свободные каналы вчера пытался записать видео, пока не получилось , микрофон очень слабо слышен а фоновый звук наоборот, надо поколупаться со звуковыми настройками еще.

  4. Great video, @Tricker is a great DCS Youtuber, I truly enjoy his tutorials. I've now just purchased the C-130 at ASC website, as one of its developers assured me that it will not have its 3d shapes encrypted, hopefully it will be released soon

  5. Can we get an update on one of the biggest issues with the current weather system, please? AI can still see through clouds, IR missiles can still track through clouds. None of the visually interesting cloud presets really work for singleplayer and cooperative play. WWII and modern ground attack are notoriously frustrating without clouds blocking AI's vision and weapons/sensors. Heatseekers (especially IR SAM) have an unfair advantage that flat out prevents certain scenarios to be playable in certain weather conditions. I would appreciate an update on the matter. I think it's one of the bigger long-standing issues DCS is plagued by.

  7. I really like it too. It is very detailed and realistic modelled with some minor issues for an EA release. The Artwork of the cockpit and the plane is amazing. The flight model feels very good and realistic from what Fulcrum pilots in videos told about the aircraft. Great work ! I hope that ED will do a full fidelity Flanker with the same amount of detail. That would be fantastic for the future

  8. You can fly it perfectly fine without AI, but if you are not convinced, just trial it for the 2 weeks and decide after that.

  9. It's pretty great! Once they fix some of the annoyances, this is one of their best releases. I may grab the F-15C MSIP after all. Definitely when they get around to the FF Su-27S.

  11. It took a week to download the update and get the MiG installed but I finally have it. All I can say is "Wow!" Just had time to take her up for a quick circuit around Senaki. The takeoff handling is extremely smooth. And it's handling on landing was even better. With a bit less than the 60% fuel I took off at and 2 AAMs on the wings, she touched down at 260 km/hr, just as she should. Wonderful. Now I just need to find the time to learn this machine.

  12. I loved it but SPO not working with radar really dampened my enthusiasm. I want to enjoy the great SPO-15 they made. Coop mode has brought some of my enthusiasm back.

  14. You could try with reading the start up manual or Googling the -10 for the bird. Can also try binding the PCLs to your throttle or keyboard.

  15. Всем привет! Искал крепление для VPC MongoosT-50CM3 Throttle. После долгих поисков по Pinterest'ам и гугл-картинкам понял, что ничего из готового мне не подходит — пришлось делать с нуля. Затащил в это дело друга с 3D-принтером. После кучи тестов и доработок получился вариант, который полностью меня устроил. Думаю, кому-то тоже может пригодиться что-то подобное.   20. Wouldn’t it be great if walking around and climbing into aircraft was a feature that could be unified across all modules through Combined Arms? That way, ED could make a little extra money by selling that functionality, and it might give them further incentive to flesh out the development of Combined Arms. I think the DCS player base has enough geek-level nerds that would absolutely buy Combined Arms under those circumstances. I know I would! Imagine being driven out to a plane, getting out, and climbing in the plane with the help of your crew chief. Or how about landing an MI-8 on a nice alpine mountain, popping the rear clam shell open, and hanging your legs off the back while you have your sandwich. Maybe it doesn’t sound as cool on a flat screen, but in VR, the level of awesomeness would be off the charts! I’ll also add, Since DCS is a digital museum, and since plenty of effort is spent with the external artwork of modules, being able to walk around them gives everyone an opportunity to admire their artwork.

ALL BECAUSE MY DUMBASS WAS CONVINCED, I bought the whole thing. Let the record show I only bought SW pre release and YOU SIR are correct for calling me out to check my license.   23. This would be such a cool addition! I wanted to post this myself. The intensity of the vibrations, the shaking of instruments and tilting of mirrors, the muzzle flash (especially at low light) would definitely add to the experience. If ED thinks it's too much, or ruining the game experience, they could just add an option for it in the special options menu. Here are a few more videos independently showing the same effect. The tilting mirror seems to be the norm, not the exception. Notice how always the right mirror moves (probably the vibrations through the canopy frame are locally hitting its resonance frequency).

  24. BFM monster. Essential for late cold war scenarios. Fits good in the iraq map (desert storm). Many operators around the world. Theoretically, it doesnt' require a build from scratch (?). Requested several times here in the forum and discord (so there is interest about it).

  25. I propose an editor "module" or function that would allow mission designers to auto-generate civilian air traffic for missions. Designers could designate airports or map edge points (portals) between which traffic routes would be automatically populated. The function should furthermore allow basic control over air traffic density, unit types, randomization etc. The "module" should also allow control through triggers to change parameters during runtime. With such a system mission designers should be able to create believable civilian air traffic with only a few clicks, while still allowing enough control for the system to adapt during mission runtime.   27. With FFB and in VR, the oscillations are very intrusive. But yes overall I agree this is easily their best release since the F-18.

  29. Things like this shouldn't be module specific imho. They should be rolled out for every AC similar to the canopy rain effects. That said, i agree it would be a very immersive feature.

  31. Нормальное положение- все гашетки вверх. Может и можно извернуться и с гашеткой НО при откинутой БК , но по крайней мере это очень не удобно . В любом случае пушкой , как правило, работаешь в конце, что по земле что по воздуху. Поэтому отработал большой, откинул и отработал маленькой .

I happen to have both of them and my personal verdict is that I enjoyed the Mosquito more, but that may be in part because I am generally a ground attack enjoyer and find that dogfighting in the Spitfire often trips over some DCS core problems. Seriously, this. Quite frankly, I think the Mosquito wouldn't even need a George-style fancy AI. Something akin to what ol' Belsimtek did for the Huey would probably suffice. The option to have a 'pilot' keep it somewhat straight and level or maybe circle or at least hold attitude properly, while I work with the radios in the back. Skill issue? Maybe. But I find it awfully hard to do the entirety of the flying while also looking the exact other way and fiddling with the dials. It isn't even that doing a lot with the long range radio was always necessary, it just feels to me that they put a lot of work into modeling all that and then made it borderline impossible to use any of it.

  33. Another thing we discovered during a multiplayer flight yesterday. 1. If you have Native Avionics language selected (RUS) and units to Metric. 2. Switch between meters to feet on the F10 map (button on top bar) and then Spawn into a new aircraft, the avionics in the aircraft automatically will be in Imperial. While it might be intended to work this way, it certainly caused a great deal of confusion when a member in the flight didn't realize that also the units in his aircraft had changed

  36. The APG-78 FCR was not designed to engage maritime targets. However, the FCR can, in fact, detect them, but you will need to use RMAP mode to see the raw radar information, as the FCR will not process "ship" targets. You will need to use the TADS for targeting.

  38. В ГСВГ кстати , ангары для 29-го в полном объеме были построены только в 33 иап в Виттштоке и то под вывод. А в старые от МиГ-21/23 они не влезают , так что даже при рассредоточении по эскадрильским зонам, самолеты , как правило стояли зачехленные на улице перед ангарами . Это было на многих аэродромах и не только в Германии .

  39. Just curious what you are talking about "white scratches on the sky"? There are 16 different cirrus cloud texture variations. Some of them are certainly thin and wispy just like some types of cirrus clouds are supposed to be. I'm wondering if there's something I need to fix for it to look that bad for you. Looks like "Broken Cumulus no rain 1" to me. That will be fixed in v2.1. I haven't seen any other presets with this issue but if anyone does find one please let me know so I can fix it.

  42. Problem is 3 out of 4 Sparrows don't fall from rail to the ground in DCS like during Desert Storm. Either we get everything to factory spec or everything to how it behaved in the hands of military, but "everything for my friends, law for the rest" just doesn't work.

  43. This looks very much like a bug with the new missile API. I have noticed as well that all you need to do is roll and pull a little and the R-27 just lost all abilitly to guide, and no chaff is needed at all. Especially if anykind of hard roll is intruduced. ColdClaws report and yours shows the same exact bug. Hope this gets fixed soon, since this is some warthunder levels of "just roll and the missile misses" kind of bug.

  44. Hello, as the title states. It would be nice to have the RSBN / PRMG unit's frequencies listed in mission editor beacons info in blue like it is done with the portable TACAN unit, so you can refer to it and check against the RSBN / PRMG frequencies already on the map. Thanks Jens

  46. There are some problems with the LUU-2. Brightness and colour temperature The ingame flare is too bright. It's difficult to objectively say without an ingame light metre, but the real thing should illuminate a 500 metre circle at 5 lux. The ingame flare is orders of magnitudes brighter for sure. This would not be a huge issue, but since the flare does not create terrain shadows and is not affected by clouds (both very reasonable performance trade-offs), it can appear even brighter. With more realistic brightness values, the performance trade-offs wouldn't be that noticeable. Colour temperature is wrong. Ingame it burns with a slight green tint, while it should burn with near white with perhaps slightly warm tint. It's a magnesium/sodium-nitrate mix, that should definitely not produce a flame with green tint. Missing cockpit illumination The flare correctly illuminates the exterior of aircraft flying near it, which looks very cool. However the cockpit of aircraft is not affected, which spoils the otherwise cool effect. Since cockpits can be illuminated by external dynamic lights, i assume this is just a config error, that can be easily corrected (Tested with F-5 remaster module). Having cockpits illuminated by flares will probably make the extreme brightness of the flares even more noticeable (especially for people who don't run secondary shadows), so fixing the exaggerated brightness is paramount...
