Coming from MSFS - a few questions!
QuiGon replied to Stratzilla's topic in Controller Questions and Bugs
This might be a binding issue, possibly a duplicated binding. I recommend to check your control assignments and make sure that the stick axis are not bound to some other axis, switches or even devices as well and thus causing input conflicts. If that's not the issue, then you might have to post a track replay of your flight here, so we can take a look at what's happening there. To do that, just make a short flight where you reproduce your issue and on the debriefing screen you can save the track file ("Save Replay" button). -
Yeah, tablets didn't exist during the Falkland war

@BIGNEWY I don't know who added the "improper alignment" tag, but as @razo+r has said: this is not due to improper alignment, but is actually a long standing bug with the Hornet's INS. If GPS is not available the INS will drift (which is correct) and will mess up the CCIP line, even when using AGR (which is a bug). It's well documented in the following thread (also reported by CBTs) :

How to change the Russian language at the AMMS screen?
QuiGon replied to PANTHER Channel's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark 3
You don't need any mods for this. There are two settings that you need to set to English in the DCS options. One is among the general DCS settings and the other is located in the module specific special options. Set them both to English and you should be good. -
People get upset if devs remain silent and don't show anything of their module in advance, so they start declaring a project as dead. People also get upset if devs show off their stuff without releasing the product ASAP, assuming it must be ready for release if there are videos of it. Whatever the devs do, for some people it's always wrong. Damned if you do, damned if you don't

Can confirm. The red and blue bullseyes are not usable due to this.

I agree, a historic variant of the Sinai map would be awesome! The fact that you didn't get the module you expected to buy is your own fault though, as there was more than enough information on the product out there showing and explaining that this is a modern map.

SAM sites ja, aber soweit ich weiß keine historischen, sondern aktuelle.

Wie sieht denn deine Hardware aus?

Auch wenn es ein sehr cooles Video ist hat es aber so gar nix mit der Bundeswehr zu tun...

Awesome, thanks for the update and especially for the dev update on TacView2. I'm really looking forward to that!

Nothing dirty about it. It's an offer to pre-order a product that doesn't have a release date yet. That's really not uncommon in the gaming industry and there is nothing deceiving about it. It's up to the customer if he/she wants to make that purchase already or wait till more infos become available. It would be dirty if there would have been a release date and the product would not be released by then, but that's not the case here.
-
Well, why did you pre-purchase the F-15E without any release date provided? Sorry, but that's totally on you. I learned long ago, that I better wait with pre-ordering to the last moment, when I have the highest possible certainty about a product (including a release date) and can still get the pre-order bonus. That applies to all games (and other products), not just DCS. No one forced you to pre-order at the moment pre-ordering became available. That was your own decision.

Navigation updating with FIX taking - question (pre GPS era testing)
QuiGon replied to darkman222's topic in DCS: F-16C Viper
That's exactly how it is. Fix taking was very important during the Cold War era, when there was no GPS. Flight planning for strike missions always included IP waypoints (preceeding the target point) on easily recognizable terrain features, to fix the nav system prior to attack to ensure precise weapon delivery. Since the introduction of GPS this is no longer necessary. It's still being trained from time to time though, as in a peer to peer conflict, GPS might not be available or unreliable due to jamming/spoofing or GPS satelites getting shot down. -
Haha, ging mir ganz genauso, weshalb ich das auch unterm Video schon ganz genauso mit Timemarks bemängelt habe Ist halt die Blöd, da kann man wohl nicht viel erwarten...

correct as-is F16 - laserguided bomb not dropping
QuiGon replied to Nephris's topic in DCS: F-16C Viper
Paveway IIIs (e.g. GBU-24) have much smarter guidance and can guide onto a laser using an energy saving glide path, similar to a JDAM. Because of this you can for the entirety of the bomb's flight. With Paveway IIs (GBU-12, GBU-10, GBU-16) you should only start lasing for the terminal phase of their flight (~10 seconds before impact), because if they start homing in on the laser theyy will bleed a lot of energy due to their "bang-bang" guidance system. The F-16 has auto-lasing too. You can configure it on the Laser page of the DED. -

Btw, this is no radar. The TADS is just an optical camera. The radar (FCR) will get implemented later.

correct as-is F16 - laserguided bomb not dropping
QuiGon replied to Nephris's topic in DCS: F-16C Viper
@twistking is probably right: You mistake the pull up cue for the release cue. Just ignore the first cue comming down your HUD and keept flying (because that's just the pull-up cue for a loft attack). There will be a second cue a few moments later. This is the release cue. -
Richtig, du musst den Weapon-Selector in die Sparrow-Position bringen und ihn dort dann reindrücken (eng. depress) um die Phoenix auszuwählen. https://www.heatblur.se/F-14Manual/cockpit.html#control-stick

I'm not sure if a poll makes sense in this case, as I don't see anyone being against this. If you want to support this wish, add your comment to the thread. The more traction it gets the better

It's been requested many times and is long overdue imho
