  1. Same goes to me exactly. 10 years DCS A-10C, now failing with APKWS.
  2. Does APKWS flies in RL as it does in DCS? For me it is totally defying phisycs by seemingly diving towards a point well short of target at the beginning, then gradually recovering, leveling out until the impact, even flying almost horizontally a few meter above the ground in the terminal phase. (I think JDAM had the same miracle, maybe even climbing, up his sleeves on the F-18 initially?). I don't believe it happens like this in RL.
  3. Until I played the APKWS training to the point where it finally happens (at the end with the tank and supports column), the trk file grew 10 MB long. Can't attach... Uhh... is it maybe laser overheat modelled, if I left on lasing from the very first shot on the Mig-21 at the airfield? Completed all previous shot with no problem up to the tank column....
  4. Guys, what is the difference between TMS Aft Short = Ground stabilize and DMS FWD Long = Gyro stabilized? (is it another name for Space stabilized anyways?) Trying to guess, ground stabilize stops the seeker head at one point on the ground, but gyro stabilized is doing what?

Not to hijack the topic, but I just tried the APKWS training mission, and with the Laser Latch "ON", if I press NWS (pinky on Warthog) to lase with the TGP, "L" starts to flash, but then it stops in 1 second. No "M" appearing. What am I doing wrong? Target right out in front of me... what the heck?
  7. Gents, sometimes STD HDG option does not appear for me on the bottom of the HSI, so nothing to box in fact. What can be the reason for that? Can't remember precisely, what did I do wrong, but it might have been that I rushed the alignment before even starting up left engine? And I guess I could never get back STD HDG again, even if I switched INS OFF and back on to CV again. Don't remember if I tried to "recover" it after L ENG started or not... Anyone with a better memory?
  8. It's not crushing, it is ending, and you will proceed to the next mission. I guess there is even a text message saying this before quitting. You will just not be able to press green "End mission" button.
  9. Hi Guys, is it just me, or is the trim on the Tank Killer really more sensitive than on the A-10C? Means like the change in trimming would be quicker or more radical, than it was in the previous version... Thanks
  10. Hi Gents, Using the DMS on the TAD, I can not find out how to use / activate DMS FWD LONG - Map toggle DMS AFT LONG - TAD Center options DMS LEFT SHORT - CEN/DEP Mode CENTER Own DMS RIGHT SHORT - Cycle TAD Center options Any explanation would be highly appreciated !
  11. +1, but if memory serves me right, I had this phenomenon being mixed up in horizontal position. TDC right moved the cross left and vica versa.
  12. Leading only means stop the process before going to the opposite. Yes, to "lead a high ball" is you take away some power for the velocity vector to go a bit lower, which makes you (and the ball) start sink a bit, but you need to add power back up BEFORE the ball comes back from "high" to the "on glideslope" position. Otherwise it will overshoot the "on glideslope" position, if you start adding power back up only when it is already in the middle. Oh... just realized ancient old topic... nevermind...
  13. Yeah, that is a known workaround, but ifyou want to practice visual designation with no FLIR on, fine adjustment is pretty much impossible.

  15. Hay Guys, In multiplayer SC PLAT cam, what triggers anyone's name appear on the PLAT cam's screen top right part, showing the usernames / numbers of the landing planes in sequence? Should I call Inbound, or? Thanks
  16. First of all I would call up the small controller indicator to see if those move in synch with your physical stick at all. And when that uncommanded shaking occurs, what those indicators show?
  17. I suppose you meant Optimum Range @ best altitude cruise, didn't you? Best endurance is meant for max time airborne, Optimum range is for max distance.

  19. I guess something got confused a bit. First of all the approach lights that you are suposed to be able to dim is the one inside the cockpit, left of the HUD. And I think they are called AoA lights, or the box on the nose gear strut is called "AoA indexer". And the knob/rheostat you can dim it with (meaning the one inside the cabin) is below the UFC, I think 2nd from left?, AoA dim or something similar. Did I misunderstand your question?
  20. Dang... then I accomplished M14 already twice, because I missed the cue saying the mission will now end?... Was there any "beep" as a heads up to read the text at top right? Just as it is for all new information in the mission?
  21. Tried it again, same results, just a big farther along the leg to WP 9. Last TX I heard was from Thron 51 reporting negativ visual on me. Then crashed, not CTD just as if I would have pressed Quit. Pushed End mission, and it let me continue with the last mission. ANyone who fas flown M14 already: is it just me experiencing it?
  22. Hay BD, after good hits, while bugging out to HDG 230, bandits just driven away by others, program simply exited, as if I would have pressed "Quit". What the heck?
  23. Which map should it be in your opinion then, to avoid peolpe who do not have that particular theater to ask, why that one? I don't think "default" Caucasus would be realistic ground for new A-10C II type transition training in a first place...
