There are so many KA50 prototypes from which the Ka52 with 6 pylons emerged. ka50 with 6 Pylons a bit fantasy, but one that is within the realm of possibility.(Ka-50-2) with the upgrade we got something like a single seater Ka52, because we certainly won't see a real one. They should be happy about that, because for reasons we will hardly see anything more modern than the Ka50 on the Red side. In the end, DCS is still a big sandbox, do what you want. the Normal Ka50 will still be there. Here is another prototype from the family: Ka-50-2

  5. Yes, but how do you know that the M229 Hydra is not capable of adding damage to 7mm of armour at 5m? With a 7 kg warhead, it seems quite possible to me. Assuming the armour holds, what about the wheels? In reality, the vehicle would no longer be able to move. In DCS, nothing or too little happens. Some damage would be appropriate here to compensate for the lack of detail, and that would also be fine. Update: I have just tested the whole thing again and against BRDM and BTR the M229 Hydra do a decent AOE damage, I am surprised I want to think that some time ago direct hits were necessary especially with BTR.
  6. I agree with you to a large extent, but you mention the problem yourself, a BRDM (7-10mm armor) needs a direct hit. Wouldn't it be a much better approach if it gets at least 25-30% damage when the missile hits 5-10m next to it? and so with other similar vehicles. because that's what I think most people here want, at least as a transition until you tackle a more detailed DM
  7. When you talk about your Tacview, there is a clear difference. With him the missiles lose the track and with yours they were defeated kinematically
  8. I don't know why there is always talk of hours, of course who wants to be super realistic can gladly do that. On common MP WW2 PvP servers they would reach almost any target in 30min-1h with a bomber. As a Gunner still not very attractive but at least better and you can also get in or out at any time. in other sims/games at least bombers are very popular to fly.

  10. You posted a tacview of 4 F14s at 33kft firing at a range of ~40nm. some even fire the Aim54 at 0.5M... Not the best parameters nevertheless, the Mig21 has to take a strong defensive stance on the first missile. The Missle has done its work here, Just because it's not a kill doesn't mean the result is bad. and in DCS it seems AI have perfect SA. that is also the reason why "a dozen Mig21s" or other were shot down in real life, they didn't know what was coming and in DCS AI reacted perfectly...

  15. Even if it is a bit off topic but this raises the question why this logic is not available in the F18? when you switch between AA/AG/Nav all pages are always changed to default which is a nightmare to use.

  18. It just shows in this scenario the difference very well. But you're right, I tested again yesterday after your statement and the delay seems partly very long.
  19. Have you seen my video completely? The refresh rate is almost spot on if it's not inflight members. And the inflight delay has already been reported. Or am I missing something here?

  25. Exactly and you can do that in DCS too Against AI maybe not but that's what PvP servers are for and there this maneuver works very well. With a little practice, you can use it specifically and also stop it excellently.
