  1. I just have a "show/hide pilot body" hotas binding . Simple . Effective . No waiting on ED , and no additional cpu load .
  2. Just found that with the new forum , i don't have to disable Google Play store to get rid of that annoying "Tapatalk" spam . The "autosave" is a nice feature as well ! Starting to think this is a good thing !
  3. https://forums.eagle.ru/forum/english/dcs-world-topics/input-and-output/virtual-reality/251621-vrfree-systems-gloves-is-it-finally-happening
  4. Ouch ! Hope AMD pans out...
  5. While i have lost a little functionality , i do find that the "search" function now works on my tablet for the first time . My biggest gripe is lack of commmunication regarding the change . I thought it was my ISP , ED server or tablet defaulting to a lower data-usage mode , and wasted time trying to troubleshoot .
  6. Only if you have Winwing software running , which is only required on initial setup .
  7. Are you using the official Link cable ?
  8. Interesting that the numerical value is approximately correct in feet (i show 3133) but suffixed as meters .
  9. Interesting , because the actual numerical value is approximately correct in feet (i show 3133 feet) . Doesn't the mission editor have its own imperial/metric setting ?
  10. No problem using dissimilar hotas . Have a look at Winwing , Virpil , and (hopefully soon) VKB They all have their own section in the input/output subforum here .
  11. Oh yeah , style over function (not the Oakleys) . I had a springer too . Surprised we survived . But when you're single , it's IMPORTANT to be cool , for the ladies' sake . (Sigh) . Not even Oakleys could make me cool now :)
  12. Dimensions in mm . For inches divide by 25.4 https://www.google.com/search?q=cougar+mfd+dimensions&oq=cougar+mfd+&aqs=chrome.1.69i57j0l3.8419j1j8&client=tablet-android-samsung&sourceid=chrome-mobile&ie=UTF-8#imgrc=NoZfbFfXv92A4M
  13. There is a good deal of discussion in the VR section of the input/output subforum here about DCS VRAM leaks . Here for example : https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=4509279 The good news is that many cannot discern a difference if ground textures are set to "low" or "high" in VR .
  14. Noctua NH-D15S here , very happy with cooling .
  15. Isn't it the consensus that hyperthreading should be disabled ?
  16. https://uploadvr.com/facebook-account-quest-paperweight/ Now it seems a photo id is required to resolve login problems .
  17. About par , isn't it ? :)
  18. I'll let this speak for itself... https://uploadvr.com/facebook-account-quest-paperweight/
  19. This thread might be helpful . https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=218484
  20. Citation ? I wish you were correct , but this post reflects what i opine based on statements from Wags , Nick and Kate . https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=4523442&postcount=264
  21. Smt disabled ? Running an anti-virus ?
  22. Yeah CH stuff lasts forever ... i gave away a 17 yr-old stick that still worked perfectly . No need , really , for software . You can test in windows controllers menu . I do use CH Control Manager for calibrating , but never had a problem doing so in the windows calibration utility previously .
  23. Concur . The Viper and Hornet are very similar in terms of capabilities , whereas the 21 would afford a vastly different experience with steam gauges and no fbw . I like the Syria map much better than PG because it has a greater diversity of terrain and vegetation . I also think the coastline looks better .
  24. Might want to check if a Windows update has re-initiated usb power saving .
  25. Given the low costs of SSDs at the moment , i would consider getting a 500gb ssd for DCS , and keeping Windows where it is . SSDs are very simple to install .
