  1. Ok - I had, but checked again. On the bottom of the BIOS screen when I highlight the Resize Bar option, there is a note stating to disable Compatibility Support Module (CSM) in the Boot menu. I'm not really sure what that is, but I disabled it anyway and now Nvidia CP says Resizable Bar is enabled.
  2. Hmm... I updated my 3080 FE with that firmware, and still Nvidia CP says Resizable Bar = No. On an Asus Prime x470 Pro and 5600x
  3. I hope that's not the case. My time in the other WW2 sim is quite limited these days because (among other things) the campaigns here are more numerous. They developed a career mode for the sim and now don't even advertise campaigns for their new products. I'll hate for that to happen here. DCS has great scripted campaigns, which play a huge part in which modules I decide to purchase.
  4. I initially took the advice of others and tried to use only rudder for lateral movement, but still found out that I was comfortable using the stick (roll) axis anyway. And the F-14 is the first plane that I've become proficient in AAR in. So I think you should be good. I'm using Crosswind pedals, btw.
  5. Is it trying to get through the Suez Canal?
  6. Where the heck do you park $50 these days that will get you more than ten cents of interest over a few months? Edit - and no, I don't mean ten percent, I literally mean ten cents
  7. Does anyone know which map(s) the campaign(s) will be for? ED mentions a campaign on the store page.
  8. It says on the website that extensions are not recommended for the Orion. Also the throttle looks nice and I was considering it until I saw in a video that the afterburner detents are not removable? I fly a lot of planes with no AB so this may be a deal breaker for me.
  9. Lol, yeah I think you somehow ended up in one of the surviving F-14s that exists in some museum, where the Air Force stripped it of all its parts so that they don't fall into Iranian hands
  10. I swear they remove the 3 wire when they clear me to land. I'm not sure if the grade history is saved anywhere, but it would be full of 1, 2, and 4 wires.
  11. What about if water injection is used? I have only a little time in the P-47 and haven't read the manual yet so I don't know the details yet. But water injection adds double benefit of cooling and extra power, unless I'm mistaken?
  12. The Zone 5 campaign is for the A.
  13. Ooh, nice. Content for the P-47!
  14. I'm not sure about the two entries thing, but for your wingmen, it's under something like Go to... then RTB. Then they will go land instead of trying to stay in formation with you while you land.
  15. That's not really the campaign creator's fault. Often I order my wingmates to either rtb or hold position while I land if I am trying to avoid this type of thing.
  16. Oh, yeah. My understanding is that they wait until some critical mass of orders come in, then they make and send a bunch out. But with how hard it is to get ahold of certain peripherals these days, that may be your best bet. If I were in the market for a throttle right now that's what I would do. Also VKB is supposed to come out with a new throttle design soon, but no release date yet. But according to their announcement earlier this year, they will have some at a number of price points.
  17. Lol, good luck trying to get one of these at anywhere close to msrp. Have you considered the Virpil throttle instead?
  18. Same issue. Headset USB works only on a PCI card USB port, and strangely it's very stable there and not on any on-board ports. Though I've read that the issue has been identified and board manufacturers should have BIOS updates in a month or so. Not sure I remember my source for that. PCGamer maybe.
  19. Another issue is that you will want different settings if you switch between monitor and VR, since you will have to run with reduced graphical settings to maintain good fps in VR. Since DCS doesn't have separate profiles for that, a good solution is SkateZilla's DCS Updater GUI Utility. You can save multiple settings profiles there. I even use that utility to launch DCS instead of the normal executable. Again, while performance for me in MSFS is crappy compared to DCS, they got it right when it comes to monitor and VR settings separate, and quick switching between monitor and headset at any time you choose. It would be great to have here.
  20. Yes, headset on all the time, at least until they implement a quick way to switch like MSFS has. An image shows on the monitor, but is smaller and in vertical aspect ratio. I use a G2 with WMR. Oculus may be different, I don't know.
  21. Yeah, I'm trying to adjust my mentality. For a decade I've been a warbird pilot, and am learning BVR combat recently. The old pre-cold war adage of "altitude is life insurance" doesn't seem to apply, at least as much. I'm trying to reconcile the fact that finding contacts low (against the ground) is tough, while up high you're easy to spot. And at the same time missiles like height, so you want to be as high as possible when firing for better missile performance. It's a nut I have yet to crack in my mind. Edit - and, yes, I asked a similar question in the F-14 section about the Case 1 procedure where you sweep wings back in order to slow down. That was counter-intuitive to me as well, but is a lesson that delta configurations create much drag at high AoA.
  22. Ok, that's great. Since I read about "presets" selectable in the mission editor, I was curious as to how the new effects would apply to existing content.
  23. Awesome. I bought this plane in large part because you have a campaign coming out for it. One question- do you have access to builds of 2.7 when creating the campaign? I'm wondering if we can take advantage of new assets like the new clouds and such with upcoming single-player content.
  24. I think they were waiting for just one more person to ask.
  25. This happens occasionally for me too. I'm not sure yet what causes it, because it's maybe 1 out of 5 flights or so where it happens, and most of the time it disappears like it's supposed to.
