There are 2 parameters you need to watch, Angle of Attack from 10 to 13 degrees, and Flight Path Market between -5 degrees marker and horizon best if at -2.5 degrees, extend your airbrakes and that is, Keep the plane between 10 and 13 AOA, adjust your Flight Path Marker with throttle movement not with pulling the stick, stick is used to keep the nose up at desired AOA. speed will be what will be, it depends on your weight, you cant do anything about that but burn fuel prior to landing. And as @Lace said, don't over think it, practice and practice.

Only USN has more acronyms

Will do, thanks!

Its Poland MiG-29UB, showing Stanislaw Skalski, bort number is 4105 thnks Ill wait for FF module

Dinamic campaign is being worked on, it will come in SP and MP versions as far as I know, they are also working on global ATC and ground crew for all airports, I guess we just have to wait.

I guess the biggest problem is RWR, in Viper and Hornet and I can adjust volume of warning sounds, RWR for example, TACAN and ILS sounds too etc, in Apache I haven't tried but I guess there is a knob for that too. I checked FC3 SU25T and SU33 they both can adjust RWR volume. Check in the manual of the plane you fly.

reported CCRP symbology may be blocked by toss cue at altitude and lower speed
Furiz replied to Furiz's topic in Bugs and Problems
@701 - Vader Yes something is going wrong with the cue line, when I hold the pickle 5 sec before the first cue line as you said I could drop the bomb. I also tried holding it right after the first cue line and it dropped, when above 300kts I was getting 2nd cue line dropping one after another, here is the track: gbu12 CCRP 2nd cue line.trk I haven't tried other bombs, maybe it is the issue with CCRP in general. -
Yea that's true, its hard to find it if its near buildings for example.

@QuiGon Somehting like this: I knew it position since I made the mission but you can see it on ground radar, just need to check all those dots and locate it.
-
Another way of finding EWR is to use ground radar, since radars are basically large clumps of metal, they off course reflect radar beams, so it should reflect your radar scans and show as a bright spot on the radar page, so if you know the general direction you can look for it using Ground Radar. When you find it, create a mark point and switch to it, then use TGP to verify.

I've tested again and I could find SAM - P19 on HAD page, and HARM could target it, but EWR - 1L13 and EWR 55G6 were not there even tho I saw the RWR warning. They all show as S on the HAD and RWR. In any case you guys were right, EWR can not be found. Is it like that in real world?

That sounds logical. Then I guess ext fuel tank slider is good idea, since the slider atm considers only internal tanks, I always thought since we can choose which ones to empty first during flight and game sees them as separate objects interlinked together to make a whole it would act the same on the ground. But cause of the rearm window it not like that.
-
Yes, Viper is thirsty little bird, be careful with your AB. While doing AAR it will refuel all tanks to full, how is it engine limitation?
-
Yes, it was pretty obvious it is lighter due to lack of systems compared to modern viper, thanks. I still think the same.

We have learned that fighting which era is more popular leads to nowhere, in the end if an aircraft is not interesting to people they will keep their credit cards in their wallets, same goes with maps, devs can choose to make whatever they want, if it pays off to them it pays off, it their risk to take with modern or cold war plane, if they choose to feed the minority then let them. I took a screenshot the other day from MP server list, sorted by most players and nr.1 is cold war server followed by a lot of modern servers, ppl play what they like to play: Anyway... about F-16 blk15, I think making another variant of the same plane is not good, I like modern era, but I'd rather see some other cold war plane than another variant of a plane we already have. As we pretend to be pilots, we can pretend to be in blk15 as well.

correct as-is The Viper is much too tippy when taxiing into a curve
Furiz replied to wernst's topic in DCS: F-16C Viper
Viper has that problem since it was designed and it is well known, the front wheel had to be moved backwards cause of the intake, it is not under the pilot like with other planes, you can google picture and see for yourself, that and small distance between 2 rear wheels make Viper really prone to tipping. And yes you really need to be careful with landing specially in crosswind, it is a light fighter as you said like a toy plane, everyone has trouble landing it in crosswind. I think I never saw a "Show me your landing" thread in any plane forum section, only Viper has it. That tells a lot too -
fixed GBU 24 falling way short? Bug or user error?

fixed GBU 24 falling way short? Bug or user error?
Furiz replied to Fulcrumkiller31's topic in Bugs and Problems
So this is how GBU-24 behaves, this track is when I lased myself, it was going to fall miles short so I activated laser, (I probably released too early but... the DLZ was ok right?) the bomb picked up and flew directly to target: gbu24 self lase strange flight.trk then I let the auto lase option to do it and it didn't lase on time cause the timers were wrong: gbu24 auto lasing late.trk so this must be cause of que range set too high and we get release que well ahead of time, or we have to lase 1 min early for the bomb to fly correctly, in my test it was falling well away from the point of impact.- 24 replies

fixed GBU 24 falling way short? Bug or user error?
Furiz replied to Fulcrumkiller31's topic in Bugs and Problems
Definitely something wrong with GBU24, it is falling way too short, I had a drop with auto lasing set at 12 sec, and when lasing started the bomb was falling short so it did catch the laser but it couldn't reach the target. (released inside DLZ) I was planning to test too, I'll do it when I have time.- 24 replies
