They did not say a jet was coming before the Mi-24.... and that includes the F5. but yeah we seriously need the AH-1W, it would seriously add balance to DCS helicopter world. HP G2 Reverb (Needs upgrading), Windows 10 VR settings: IPD is 64.5mm, High image quality, G2 reset to 60Hz refresh rate. set to OpenXR, but Open XR tool kit disabled. DCS: Pixel Density 1.0, Forced IPD at 55 (perceived world size), DLSS setting is quality at 1.0. VR Driver system: I9-9900KS 5Ghz CPU. XI Hero motherboard and RTX 3090 graphics card, 64 gigs Ram, No OC... Everything needs upgrading in this system!. Vaicom user and what a superb freebie it is! Virpil Mongoose T50M3 base & Mongoose CM2 Grip (not set for dead stick), Virpil TCS collective with counterbalance kit (woof woof). Virpil Apache Grip (OMG). MFG pedals with damper upgrade. It was a joke about how the AH-1 and Mi-24 have been next since the UH-1 and Mi-8 and yet we keep getting random jet fighters instead. I share his irritation with that even if the F-5E is the module I'm looking forwards to most of the officially announced projects (AH-1 and Mi-24 aren't official imho). BST said late last year that the Mi-24 would be unfrozen this year (possibly already has been) but I haven't seen anything about it since. Back on topic, I voted for the W. In truth my pick would be the export J model used by Iran, since we are getting so much relevant to the 1980's Iran/Iraq war + 1991 Gulf war already. It makes sense to focus on that period and region. But the W should be a good emulation of a J if fitted with TOWs instead of Hellfires. So in a way, it might be the better option as it offers more versatility in mission design even if not 100% accurate for an Iranian J.

I'm betting 16 hellfires never happens in real life, but the way we 'all' play... but I can't even imagine how they're going to pull off a Whiskey. I'd take either or both in a heart beat though. Whiskey would be fun to carry mixed TOW and Hellfire armamaents though.

It's probably not that easy to get lots of information and data about the systems and avionics of an military aircraft. Then you have to model it into the game that takes years and years of programming and lots of work just for guys like you who which are complaining that there is no progress of an aircraft. It can take maybe 3 more years to create this aircraft while ED is making good progress with all the other modules and terrains like the F/A-18C and the SoH map. The 3rd Party Developers do the same (creating maps, programming new aircrafts) just for you so that you can see how much work and time it took to create an high detailed module with it's systems and avionics. Iirc, the A-10C took about 5 years, and that was originally made for the military (so all the info was available). The F18 has been going for a few years as well. Very complex aircraft take time. What we need is to get more realistic spotting, reaction times, communications, moral reactions, self-awareness and basic tactics for AI.
