I'm having very little FPS. Look at the pictures they speak for themselves. The MiG21 was to run at least 30 FPS. All photos were taken only with the aircraft in the scenario.

Yes, and? Mig differs substantially from the Sabre, so why compare the two?

Generic advice would be to upgrade your PC. For possibly more detailed advice you'll need to post your system specs and In-SIM settings.

I got the same, the worst FPS in Mi 8 and Mig 21.

However the`re so beautifully modeled, it`s no suprise for me.

I think it`s time for a new rig :noexpression:

Excuse my English, please.

Helpful in identifying the cause of a graphical bottleneck:

Specs

Settings

Current Drivers

If you have severe issues, make sure you note those down.

The MiG-21 hits the VRAM a bit more than other modules, as well as fillrate.

I'm getting poor performance too, in the training missions between 26 - 35. My specs:

i7 3930K @ 3.2

32 GB Ram

GTX 680 2GB

I don't get this low in other aircraft, and I understand that there's a lot going on in the MIG21 simulation but I thought I would get better. Maybe once EDGE is out it will be better optimized?

Edit: Running the latest 340.52 Nvidia drivers.

Edit2: I'm running the sim @ 1920x1080, everything on high with 2xAA except for view distance, HDR set to off, clutter/bushes set to 0, tree distance set to 6000

Experiencing a 50% drop in performance compared to other aircraft is pretty ridiculous, you'd think performance requirements would be part of ED's standard of quality. Upgrades usually cost hundreds do dollars after all.

Based on the specs in my sig, would I see a good return on upgrading graphics card? I have 1.5 MB VRAM, a bit on the low side perhaps? Any pointers, Cobra?

Hey, I'm getting the same problem. My rig is in my signature. I was getting abysmal frames on the startup mission and I thought it might have been that so I put down the aircraft on a completely empty mission and still get really bad frame rate around 15-20 frames in cockpit. My drivers are 14.10 and My in-game settings are the following:

We'll take a look at this with utmost urgency.

Thank you! Can not wait for the performance improvement. The MiG21 is my favorite and I'm doing positive publicity for all my friends. Thank you Cobra! I hope my topic will help to improve the MiG21.

You guys with Nvidia cards. I routinely get in the mid-20s with every module, thanks to AMD's crappy DCS support, and DCS's crappy AMD support.

Me too. At lowest settings BTW. It Is Ugly. Very Ugly. i5 3570k + 8GB 1600 + HD6950 2GB + Corsair Force GT SSDs. Has been the same on HDD before, since 1.2.4. Before that I had 100+fps hands down. Eagle Dynamics has had taken a very stupid decision not to patch out the fps hogs after 1.2.4 and just implement them as early as 2.0. Bollocks! But well, this is how it is. Just wait... the messiah will come down on earth eventually.

OP: Welcome in the Holy Order Of The Neverending Wait For EDGE! :megalol:

BTW I'm not even running the MiG yet... it's still stuck somewhere in my ISP's cables.

We'll take a look at this with utmost urgency.

I have a relative high end rig ( see my signature) and i´m experience reduced FPS on the Mig-21

From 5 to 20 FPS less. Basically when i´m looking inside the cockpit and when flying around with the cockpit in front of my view.

All other modules run at 60 FPS always.

Same here, the drop occurs when the cockpit is in view.

It would be nice to hear from the guys that had early access to see if they lost any today compared with a day or two ago. Maybe it was something in the patch.

It's really gorgeous but I also get around 30 fps in cockpit view.

specs:

GTX 780

I7 4770K

8 GB RAM.

With newest drivers installed ofc :)

Doesn't seem to matter what settings I have. I've tried bot lowest and highest, only about 5 fps difference.

So it's playable but in some cases it drops pretty low, 10 fps or so. But it's a first day launch so I'm not expecting it to be super optimized.

Still...I'm impressed at how detailed everything is...A beautiful piece of art you've done here LN.

I've noticed a slight slowdown myself in 3d, I'm around 40 fpS when normally 60fps in 3d. Gorgeous pit we just need the HUD fixed for 3d users like the other aircraft.
