Not complaining but I love how EDGE is now on its 3rd year of development (or is it 2?) and each year it is due out it doesn't come. Kinda reminds me of Duke Nukem Forever....just hope it is worth it :)

I don't think so. But I hope that afterburner will be one of the effects that will get changed at some point because this ugly tube sticking out of the exhaust is just horrible.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but multi-crew capability is scheduled to be introduced together with the L39, right?

Edge looks good but not banking on it Been in development too long to worry about it. When it comes it comes. More interested in the L-39 and front seat/Back Seat. As long as that is not tied to Edge and we can see it in 1.2.11..... Im golden.

A very exciting newsletter with a ton of stuff on the way in the very near future. Indeed a biblical flood of new aircraft by DCS standards!

 

However, judging from the last 12 pages of this thread, for most of us (including me) DCS World 2.0 + NTTR is clearly the number one big ticket item we are waiting for. I'm happy to commit to whatever human and / or animal sacrifices are deemed necessary for us to have DCS World 2.0 and NTTR on our computers before the Christmas break! I know the back room boys at ED are doing 36 hour days right now, but I really need a holiday in virtual Nevada this Christmas! Hope we're all happy come the end of the year.

 

The multi-crew cockpit will bring a whole new level of awesomeness to DCS as well. Another must have. What fun that will be.

I see the State of Nevada: High Desert State Prison is showing on one of the map screens (close to the Creech AFB).... do we get police cars for playing the big prison escape?

The last pic with the Tornados really amazed me. If that's a hint for an upcoming DCS Tornado module I would be so damn happy! But i doubt it so i rather wonder if those are updated Tornado models or just an effect of EDGE? In the current version the Tornado model is very outdated and plain ugly.

It does leave the door open for Edge and NTTR to be pushed into 2015, but it sounds closer now than ever before since This is the first time I have heard NTTR being fully integrated with EDGE.

 

Hmm... I hear more a: "If we are extrem lucky, we will bring EDGE this year but it's already save delayed till 2015."

And I think, EDGE will never ever be ready for a release this year. This "hope calling" is more a push down for the bad emotions.

I personally would be extrem lucky If I would be wrong at this point, but I was never before, so I don't think I will be proven wrong? :cry:

Delays aren't necessarily a bad thing, sure many of us are impatient. But if a delay means the final product is of a higher quality then it doesn't hurt to wait a little longer than expected.

i agree with this. i hope multi crewed multiplayer will encourage more teamwork.

Back at the time the module A-10C was release (beta), there was questions about IR effects (trees, buildings,...) At the time, it was stated that the problem resided in the rendering engine and it was not possible to change that (can't find source anymore). Is the IR effects (rendering of an IR imaging on a MFD) resolved?

Hormuz isnt in DCS yet, as far as I know (based on what ED has said publicly) its in the later stages of building right now, but dont quote me on that.
